Crema's Take

This Edgewater gem prioritizes quality over convenience, opening only Saturdays to ensure a thoughtful, unhurried experience where espresso craftsmanship and pour-overs take center stage alongside excellent pastries. The owner's passion shines through in their single-origin selections—their light roast Tanzania is particularly celebrated—and the carefully curated atmosphere, complete with feel-good DJ sets and welcoming vibes, makes it worth the pilgrimage for coffee lovers seeking something genuinely special rather than another quick caffeine fix.

Happy Monday Coffee — this location is very close to my home in Edgewater, so I decided to walk over and give it a try. I have to say, this branch is quite rare because it only opens on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 3 PM. The coffee is wonderfully aromatic with a very distinctive flavor. I really enjoyed it.

Happy Monday! I stopped by this charming little coffee spot and had a great donut paired with a black iced coffee — simple, fresh, and delicious. If you’re looking for a cute place within walking distance of Andersonville or Hollywood Beach, look no further. The vibe was perfect with Spanish samba music playing in the background and a nice selection of country-specific coffees you can buy to take home. Definitely worth a visit!

Fine. Really great spot and I love the view from the windows. Also the vibes are great and the coffee is good. But it’s never open when it says it’s open, which is frustrating.

Best coffee I’ve had in Chicago in years. The light roast from Tanzania is exquisite. Super friendly owner and nice vibe about the place plus feel-good music (from DJ-like set-up).

It took us an hour to drive to this location which we chose because we wanted to try the coffee in the bear container. When we get there they told us they don’t have any but continue to charge us $8.75 for a coffee. That price I assume is high simply because they are supposed to provide you with the bear container that you keep. How are you going to charge me for something that you didn’t provide?! If the customer orders the special latte that is priced to provide you with something then there should be a discounted price if you don’t provide that. Music was very loud and could barely have a conversation because of it.
