Crema's Take

Hagosa's House is a cozy Seattle gem that's become a genuine community hub, equally beloved by remote workers, dog owners, and folks seeking respite with a perfectly crafted matcha or coffee. Beyond the excellent drinks, what sets this spot apart is its thoughtfully curated vibe—great music, pastries from local favorites like Macrina, and a warm, helpful staff that makes everyone feel genuinely welcomed. Whether you're settling in for hours with your laptop or just stopping by for a quick caffeine boost, the inviting atmosphere and dog-friendly patio make it feel less like a transaction and more like coming home.

I saw that this cafe was participating with Intentionalist's to get a free drink so my boyfriend and I decided to stop by as we were in the area and we love supporting local businesses. They have parking on the side of the cafe which is great as my boyfriend dreads going to Seattle due to street and paid parking. We stopped by a little after the afternoon and there were several tables taken by customers but still with plenty of tables and chairs left. There was even a big dog with their owner just hanging out, which is awesome as we love bringing our fur babies to dog friendly spots so we'll have to add this place for future visits. The cafe itself is beautifully and thoughtfully put together with lovely artwork. The space was clean and the cafe owner was sweeping up the place when we had arrived. A lot of the light comes from the sunlight which is lovely but they do have plenty of lighting inside as well, so no worries on rainy days. The music choice was also perfect to fit the cozy vibes and at the ideal volume for a cafe. There is also outdoor seating too! The cafe owner, Feaven was very sweet and patient with us as we are indecisive and we weren't aware that they offer monthly specialty drinks so we had to look over that and the regular menu to see what we wanted. My boyfriend went with the Cupid's Caramel Latte while I got their Raspberry mocha. We got our drinks within minutes of ordering but you can tell that Feaven puts a lot of attention and detail to her drinks. She even asked us after we took a sip to know how it was, especially my boyfriend's drink because it has salt in it. But we let her know it was absolutely perfect and the ratio of the flavors were complimentary of one another. It was one of the best coffee drinks that I've had in a while. I really want to try out their food and pastry options since they are also from local businesses but the options sound all so good.

This dog-friendly cafe serves coffee, matcha, pastries and breakfast items. The inside is cozy, great for working, studying or just hanging out. My pistachio matcha was good, but the matcha isn't very strong.

This place is super cute. I am so glad to see how it has transformed since pearls. Great music, great drinks, great selection of foods from Macrina + Harried and Hungry. Service was lovely, helpful, welcoming, and authentic. Several patrons sat for a while and got some work done. The atmosphere is so comfortable, earthy, modern, clean. My intention was to stop in and take it home, but I sat on one of the swivel chairs at the front window and didn't want to get up. The sweet barista brought me my drink without shouting out behind the bar. That was such a professional and high service touch. Such a warm, inviting reprieve from the cold and rain outside. I look forward to my next visit.

I was feeling a bit drained and was just looking for nearest liquid caffeine provider. Well...thanks to Hagosa's House, I made it pass the rest of the day. Drama aside: 1) I ordered a biscotti. Chocolate and Almond, tasty and good fuel for my trip. 2) I ordered cappuccino. I didn't expect anything from a cup of cappuccino...took a sip... This might sound a bit duplicate from one of my previous review (because both are just as good): the last time I tasted cappuccino the way I wish...was back in 2009 on a coffee shop on George Street, Dunedin, New Zealand - a cafe that was popular with businessperson for coffee quality and now the shop doesn't seem to exist anymore. Back then, a good cup of cappuccino is dependent on time and weather: morning at peak hours or during summer time, the espresso machine might already get hot and burn the coffee, and good espresso need the right amount of heat. Yup, kinda of Feng Shui-ish... In any case, having taste of what I just had in Hagosa (and in the other location) - that would have been if I am blessed for jackpot. Don't forget: this is cappuccino, and I like mine with sugar, and yet - I tasted the delightful flavor of the...coffee (yup, not putting "beans" too close!)

Great atmosphere and interior. Coffee is OK though: we had a latte on soy milk and an americano, 3.8 out of 5 for my liking. I definitely won’t drive here for coffee. But the atmosphere is great and I’d probably come back to try matcha or pour over coffee.
