Crema's Take

I notice there's a mismatch in your request—you've listed "The Course Bar & Lounge" but the reviews are actually for "12 Rooftop," which appears to be a vibrant nightlife spot in College Station's Northgate area rather than a specialty coffee shop. The reviews highlight the owner's genuine hospitality, carefully curated music, and a recently remodeled rooftop with tropical Miami Vice aesthetics that make it feel like an upscale lounge rather than a casual hangout. If you're looking for a specialty coffee shop summary, could you provide the correct details for The Course Bar & Lounge, or would you like me to write about 12 Rooftop as the venue it actually is?

The owner of 12 Rooftop is an amazing person and very hands-on with the business. He interacts with guests and really makes everyone feel welcome. The music is always on point, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the overall vibe is unmatched. If you’re looking for a great time, this is definitely the place I recommend.

My favorite bar on Northgate! The recent remodel they’ve done on the rooftop gives tropical Miami Vice vibes with an awesome bottle service/lounge area. Great drink prices and the bartenders make the best shots. Plus the manager is hot

I would NOT recommend 12 Rooftop for any ring dunks, mixers, or other private events. After booking a private event with them 2 months in advance and speaking with the manager multiple times after the initial booking he cancelled the event within a 72 hour notice of it starting because they double booked us. Prior to that he was very inconsistent about answering questions I had and overall I was very displeased and left with a bad taste in my mouth about this establishment! I've worked with many other establishments on Northgate and none have ever been this unprofessional. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere!

Bouncers are supposed to ensure safety and security, but not at 12 apparently. I told one of them that I saw a friend of a man who I had recently filed a police report on walk out of the place and I’d like to make sure the man wasn’t inside before I went in. He began interrupting me and saying ‘what do you want me to do about it?’ Repeatedly. I asked if I could just stand in the doorway and look inside for a moment to check and he permitted me to do so. As I was standing by the door another bouncer walks outside and stands two inches from me and in my line of vision. I then explained to him the situation and that I was given permission. He began telling me to step out of his personal space and get out of his way, mind you he had approached me not the other way around. He said a few other unprofessional comments and I asked why he was being rude which he responded with “you’re just mad you’re too broke to pay the cover to get in.” Mind you I am 21… I do not have to pay a cover I was just genuinely trying to ensure it was safe for me to go in. I began to ask for his name which he refused to give me and his manager Dalton came outside. Dalton took me to the side and handled things in a very professional way. He offered to take me in through the back so I could look around and be sure police report man wasn’t in there. Though, I was no longer interested and I will not be returning back to 12. I hope that the bouncers are reprimanded for their behavior in some way. They aren’t there to look buff, be rude and be off putting to guests. They are there to promote safety and security and ensure guests will want to come back to the establishment. Keeping workers who don’t work with and instead work against customers is terrible for business and I hope 12 can sort it out.
