The Whistle Stop
280 E Commercial St, Willits, CA
Crema's Take
“The Whistle Stop wins you over with genuinely craveable food—think toasted pastrami sandwiches with unexpected flourishes like brussels sprouts in the slaw, plus build-your-own sandwiches and hot paninis that keep regulars coming back twice a week. The staff, particularly standouts like Shawna, treat every customer like they matter even when you stumble in last-minute, and the outdoor seating makes it a genuinely pleasant place to linger. This is comfort food done right in a small-town café that doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is.”
What to expect
Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Light food on the menu. Family friendly.

Great service and food .. our server, Shawna, was very accommodating even though we showed up just before she was closing on a Sunday!!
What a sweet café with a nice outdoor seating area and dessert and hot Panini sandwiches so delicious!! Highly recommend!
Go there twice a week. Food is amazing. The staff are always polite. And the atmosphere is great. Like that I can build any type of sandwich that I'm craving. Definitely enjoy the different varieties of ice cream as well. If you haven't stopped in you should.
I had a great toasted pastrami sandwich and almost went back for seconds, just for the flavor. I've never come across a brussel sprout in my cole slaw before this, but they made it work. We didn't exchange many words with the staff, but I still felt taken care of and welcome.
I had the best chefs salad there recently! The staff and owner are all great!
