I'm a photographer who was recently hired by Chicora Alley in Travelers Rest to capture content for their website/social media. I got to meet a majority of the staff and got to see behind the scenes in the kitchen. The people were super friendly and just an overall positive and fun atmosphere. The bar was fun too, and I enjoyed meeting some of the regulars. There is a rich history to the restaurant, and I heard several famous stories. The food is also fantastic! I got to try the Jamaican Me Hungry, the Shrimp and grits, and the Caribbean Jerk Chicken. All were great and I would recommend any of them!
We love this place. We ordered fish and chips and quesadilla - both were out of the world delicious. The fish was crispy outside and soft inside. Excellent dessert options as well
Stopped by here for a quick lunch. Extremely varied menu; quick, polite service, good food. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, extensive beer menu. Relaxed environment. It's very slight off the beaten path in Travelers Rest, but worth the trip. Tons of parking across the street.
Wow, what an amazing experience at Chicora Alley Fire House in Travelers Rest, SC! This place is a gem nestled right in the heart of downtown, with its awesome location along the charming Chicora Alley. The vibe is perfect—lively yet cozy, with string lights and a welcoming firehouse aesthetic that makes it ideal for a night out or a casual meal after exploring the nearby Swamp Rabbit Trail. The food here is absolutely excellent. We tried a few dishes, but the burger stole the show—hands down one of the best in the Greenville area! It was juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor, served on a toasted brioche bun that held up to every bite. The rest of the menu, from fresh appetizers to creative cocktails, was top-notch and left us wanting to come back to try more. The waitstaff truly went above and beyond. Our server was incredibly attentive, offering great recommendations and making sure every detail of our meal was perfect. They had that warm, genuine hospitality that makes you feel right at home, checking in just enough to keep things seamless without being overbearing. If you’re in the Greenville area and craving a fantastic meal in a prime location, Chicora Alley Fire House is a must-visit. Five stars all the way—we’ll definitely be back for another round of those burgers and that stellar service!
First time. Exceeded expectations. Street construction in front didn't stop the locals from dining here. Lexie is a great representative for your restaurant. Chicora Club, excellent choice. Perfect fries. Fried okra is the BEST I'VE EVER EATEN anywhere outside home. Highly recommend!
