Crema's Take
“Sunrise is a food cart gem in Portland that's earned serious devotion for breakfast sandwiches that actually live up to the hype—particularly their showstopping Rene sandwich with harissa aioli, honey, and red pepper flakes on a homemade English muffin that keeps people coming back. Beyond the exceptional sandwich game, their salted caramel and honey lattes pair perfectly with the cozy covered and open seating in the pod, making it equally suited for a quick caffeine grab or lingering over breakfast. It's the kind of unpretentious spot where attention to detail in both the espresso drinks and the simple-but-perfectly-balanced food has earned a loyal following.”

Top notch food truck with nice cozy covered and open seating nearby. Delicious breakfast sandwich (I got the OG) and a salted caramel latte
It’s in a food cart pod. Parking isn’t terrible but not great. Typical downtown PDX parking. Had the breakfast sandwich with aoli and harissa, sausage + egg + cheese, mocha and the honey salted latte. 100% worth the trip, fantastic sando and drinks. The english muffin lived up to the hype. Will go back again, several people standing around said the Renee was their favorite.
Huge shout out for the Rene breakfast sandwich - the honey, red pepper flakes, and harissa aioli are a perfection of flavors. The homemade English muffin is extraordinary. Already want another one…
Hands down the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in my life. I’ve tried the regular breakfast sandwich and the Rene and they were both spectacular. Delicious fresh bread and juicy sausage meat. Love the spicy sweet elements from the Rene and already thinking about my next trip to Portland to have it again. Keep up the good work!
Finally a breakfast sandwich that’s actually good around here 🙂 It’s simple, but packed with flavors and it’s not greasy. The ratio of filling to muffin is perfect and it’s not messy if you gotta eat on the run. And coffee is great! It’s the perfect one stop spot for a simple breakfast with coffee. Everything is made fresh too by the way. The owner is friendly and accommodating, great customer service. Parking can be a bit of a pain because it’s near division, but you know what?? Just plan accordingly and you’ll be fine :) We will go out of our way to grab this awesome breakfast sandwich and you should too!
