Anneke Schat's coffee and pastry

I've been to several Schat's bakery in Nevada and California. Each one has its own unique atmosphere and product offerings. Anneke's is one of the smallest bakeries I've visited, offering a nicely curated selection of pastries, breads, coffee drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, and other delights. Today I was lucky enough to be there when a freshly baked apple strudel came out of the oven. It was delightful, packed with an abundance of apples. Next time, I'm going to try and be in the area earlier to get first dibs on the pastries.

Great small business bakery & coffee establishment. All the girls are very sweet & helpful. They have a vast array of fresh baked pastries for you to carb overload on. They also have some savory selections on top of traditional sweet delights. They have some indoor seating as well as some outdoor seating. So if you are in the mood for a yummy pastry or fresh brewed coffee, this is a solid place to come support.

The best family owned and operated bakery around! The owner was there in the morning and was so nice! Made me the best caramel macchiato. I got there when they opened so they were still putting out the pastries and as I was waiting more people showed up, the owner was so nice and made sure I had first pick since I had been waiting. The pastries were delicious! Something about sourdough that just makes them taste so much better than any other pastry! The service and the food were so good, I came right back for lunch and had the hot pastrami. Highly recommend! It was absolutely amazing. Although I don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu!

My husband and I drove out to Washoe city and stopped by Anneke Schat's bakery for the first time from Reno after hearing how good it was. My husband and I got a pastry and a coffee drink and a pup cup for our dog. The coffee drink and pastries were so good, we decided to get deli sandwiches too. We were amazed at how reasonable our delicious sandwiches were and how large they were!! Anneke and her staff were so genuinely friendly and so accommodating. They even made a gluten-free lettuce wrap for me!! The food quality and the homemade bread and pastries were a true delight!! I’ll be stopping by more often!!

Just left here after my first visit (my birthday treat to myself)! WOW 🤩 I really wanted one of everything. The dragonfruit matcha drink which was recommended was amazing. Also bought a dozen local eggs! So thankful to be back where I grew up and I will frequent this spot much more. Thank you!😊
