Crema's Take

Cafe Grazie's breakfast sandwich on house-made focaccia is worth the drive to Rockland—soft bread, perfect proportions of thick-cut bacon, and coffee that locals describe as simply the best around. The owners have created something genuinely rare: a warm, elegant space where every pastry, salad, and soup feels like it was made with real care, making this feel less like a cafe and more like discovering a friend's kitchen. Plan to linger, because the crowd here (and the limited seating) means this place fills up fast.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

We stopped in and had a lovely morning treat of cardamom bun, cappuccino, and iced chai. The space is bright and friendly and they have a great selection of baked goods and heartier meals. Looking forward to coming back to work on their patio.

Please stay away from Gracie. This way, I don’t have to compete for the best breakfast and pastries north of the equator. I don’t even have to worry about competing for seating. Best place to enjoy a morning slice of heaven in Maine.

Absolutely lovely! Clean, simple, elegant space with a friendly staff and excellent food. The thick cut bacon is delicious; chewy, salty meaty in the right proportions. The breakfast burrito is yummy. The coffee is good. The pignolia cookie is glorious!

What a gem! Life is so much better with Cafe Grazie open on the midcoast. They make the most sublime breakfast sandwich on a soft Foccacia, the best coffee around for sure (but also love an afternoon spritz or affogato!). This team puts so much heart into the cafe and everything…
