Crema's Take

Dento Piano Cafe and Bar is a serene West SOMA sanctuary that's become a late-night oasis for the neighborhood, winning folks over with genuinely friendly baristas and creative signature drinks like their praised lavender oat latte. The peaceful, quiet atmosphere and reliable WiFi make it ideal for settling in for hours, whether you're meeting a friend or getting work done, though be prepared for prices that reflect the quality and ambiance. What really sets it apart is the extended hours and the warm, unhurried vibe—reviewers consistently praise both the drinks and the genuine hospitality that makes you want to come back.

LOVE the new extended hours! Between Dento, Heyma, Turquaz, and Les Deux Amis, the late night cafe options around west SOMA is changing fast and it’s exactly what the neighborhood needs! Love that i have so many bev options here too that fit whatever the day/mood calls for

Came in on a Saturday morning and stayed for a few hours. Really quiet and enjoyed the ambiance, only a few people coming in and out. Coffee and service was wonderful, just a bit pricey. My two concerns are, first, cleanliness; windowsills are dirty of spider webs and dead bugs. Looks like they've been there for a LONG time. Second, plants haven't been watered in a long time too. Overall, great experience.

The friendliest coffee barista in the world made me the most delicious iced latte! I love the atmosphere and customer service at this coffee spot. I will be returning.

Dento Piano Cafe has been a place I’ve been wanting to go to for a while and my visit was somewhat mediocre. The lavender oat latte had beautiful latte art and tasted wonderful (perfect balance of sweetness). There was a fly in my latte so one of the baristas was super kind enough to remake my drink. However, the egg sandwich was one of the worst egg salad sandwiches I have ever had in my life😭. Like no joke… it was super sweet and I think the mustard or mayo taste was too over the top. Either they made it wrong or the proportions are just off. I also bought the almost $20 mango bingsu and I was disappointed. I could barely taste the mango. I think I would only come to this cafe only for their drinks. Other than the food, the ambiance and the cleanliness of the cafe is amazing, music isn’t too loud, staff are attentive, and there’s wifi + outlets for studiers. Overall, not a terrible experience!
