Captain's Grounds Coffee

Tried out this coffee place for the first time, they were pretty busy so took quite a bit to actually order and get my coffee. I tried the Mexican mocha and it was really good. I recommend this place if you want some good coffee right on the 101

10/10 all around! The morning crew here is cheerful, friendly, and fun, the coffee is great, and it’s a vibey little spot. I loved the Mexican Mocha - great flavor, not too sweet. The “Paradise Bar” is all I need in life - it’s perfectly sweet (not too), perfectly nutty, and the shortbread at the bottom is, well, perfect! There’s even an adorable photo booth for impromptu fun! Great recommendation from our Airbnb hosts on where the locals grab their morning Joe. *Edit to add: We decided to come here a second time to try the açaí bowl and funky monkey shake and omg, so glad we did - delish!!

By far my favorite local coffee spot there ever was. The vanilla lattes slap, the avo toast is fire, the açaí bowls are perfect. The all around vibes are high and the people who work here are the loveliest. I cannot recommend this place enough and I’m down to fight anyone who disagrees. 11/10!

This was a happy little find today! Dirty iced chai was top tier. And the croissant? She was perfectly gorgeous and flaky. The outside seating was a whole vibe, and the tables inside were perfect for getting a little work done, even attached to a vintage store with a bit of traffic (which was cool as heck). No notes. Love love!

Captain's Grounds Coffee serves a bold cup of coffee, and the service was prompt, which is expected. What makes Captain's Grounds Coffee a five star ⭐ experience is the layout of the coffee shop. The coffee shop offers both interior and exterior seating. Inside the coffee shop music was playing. Outside people were gathered enjoying the warm sunny weather and good conversation (and some street noises). What is exciting about this coffee shop is the cool vintage store, which opens at 10:00. I suspect the vintage store covers about 600+ square feet. If you are in Oceanside looking for a unique coffee experience, then come to Captain's Grounds Coffee for bold coffee and classy vintage store.
