Crema's Take
“This San Diego spot has perfected the art of the quick, affordable banh mi with their fresh-baked baguettes and vibrant pickled vegetables, earning a devoted following that keeps coming back through years of loyal patronage. The touch-screen ordering system keeps the line moving through this perpetually busy spot, where you'll find a solid coffee selection alongside their real standout: uncommonly fresh pastries and baked goods that pair beautifully with their Vietnamese-inspired sandwiches and smoothies. It's the kind of neighborhood gem where consistency matters more than pretense, offering genuine quality at a fair price in a clean, well-run environment.”

Very busy and fairly priced. They offer Vietnamese-style banh mi sandwiches, fresh baked baguettes and croissants, and a range of Asian-inspired sandwiches, smoothies, coffee and pastries. They also have some snacks and groceries. I personally think the banh mi is ok not as tasty as I was expecting. However, it is big but not much meat. Coffee was okay not as close to Vietnamese coffee.
Bahn bread didn't hit but all the fresh and thick pickled veggies did. Come here for the convenience of ordering from a touch screen! Coffee was indeed good, but for $7?! I dunno.
pretty good sandwiches for the price, as they are a bit bigger than most around and they do live up to peoples recommendations. the place is clean and service is good as well.
I do love the sandwiches. The drinks are in the sweet side for me. So probably won't get the coffee is for now. I love love love the baked good. Especially with how fresh everything is. They also do have the option of buying a $5 usd croissant bags with 4 random day old croissants, and on a blue moon they sell the ends of the sandwich bread for $1.50 usd. Both are great deals. The baked area is a bit cramped. So here's the warning if you have a stroller or have arent going in the area alone.
I’ve been visiting this K sandwich location over many years even throughout the fires and reconstruction and remodel. They’ve always consistently had really good ban mi sandwiches. I always get the number nine $9 which is the pork ban mi with jalapeño the baguettes are very fresh. Staff is always friendly and professional and their prices are super reasonable. They have a good bakery selection as well and croissants.
