Crema's Take

This San Diego gem combines European-style rustic breads with genuinely excellent espresso, creating a rare spot where both the pastry case and espresso machine deserve equal attention. The warm, welcoming atmosphere makes it perfect for lingering over a cappuccino and a still-warm baguette, and locals rave about the breakfast sandwiches almost as much as the coffee itself. It's the kind of place that reminds you what quality bread and care in coffee preparation actually taste like.

I had delicious bread varieties and spread with a perfectly made cup of cappuccino. There was so much to go around with our group. After eating breakfast here we walked out site seeing all of the cute little shops there. I would definitely go to this place again!

Excellent bread and pastries. That baguette! Wow! So good, we had to break it open and eat right there - warm, fresh and delicious. The breakfast sandwich is also really good. Great location. Friendly service. What else can you ask for?

So good I forgot to take a photo of the sandwich before I was almost entirely done! This is the type of quality that I used to love about Panera before they went corporate and ruined their bread quality. I am very happy with the quality here and the crowds and line out the door…

As my first time at Con Pane, I would pleased by the whole experience. With the Turkey sandwich I may would preferred it to be somehow more "together". It wasn't problematic, but I think the turkey was a bit too in itself, and the ciabatta bread would have been slightly softer.…
