Crema's Take

Tucked away from the chain coffee chaos, this espresso-focused spot pulls beautifully balanced shots that locals swear are the best in Athens, with creative signature drinks like Earl Grey Caramel lattes that justify the high praise. The intimate, no-frills atmosphere—sparse seating, minimal food, and a refreshingly bike-themed décor—means you're grabbing exceptional coffee among fellow coffee lovers, not laptop squatters, though fair warning: their baked goods are hit-or-miss, so stick with the drinks.

Coffees good. Do not under any circumstances get the bacon cheddar scone. That was not just the worst scone I’ve ever had it was the worst thing I’ve ever bit into. I say bit into but it was the texture of mashed potatoes. Somehow even with the outside browning the inside was undercooked and soggy as hell. I’m just praying right now that it was cooked through and just got soggy from bacon grease. Also the flavor was horrible.

I was lucky to find this place. I was going to go to a chain, just somewhere quick and familiar. All I wanted was coffee. All of those were a pain to get to. Choco coffee was out of the busy hustle and bustle that is Athens but it was 100% worth the drive. Tony is the nicest guy and didn't just give me my coffee and take my money. He conversed with me and made the vibe feel welcoming. The coffee is amazing. I didn't need any flavoring bc the way they make their coffee is all the flavor you need. If you want a delicious, smooth and perfect coffee I 1000% recommend this place. It's the little "hole in the wall" places that I get excited about and Choco Coffee hit the spot. Please, give the place a shot. I had the americano with cream and it was perfect. I'll definitely be back.

The coffee here is so well balanced its one of the best coffees ive had. The atmosphere sucks bc theres barely any food or seats. The barista looked pissed when i walked in. In the middle of taking my order, she interrupted me to say hi to her coworker that had just walked in. Odd.

Great coffee and a super great barista. We enjoyed the Earl Grey Caramel and pumpkin spice lattes.

The best coffee in Athens. Yeah, I said it. Charming easy to access shop with a cyclist as a decorator. Love it! You’re not going to find a bunch of folks sitting around on their computers. Just a couple bar tops along the wall and that’s it. Brilliant! Couldn’t have been better service on this trip. The Barista, Riley was remarkable. He took our order and treated us kindly. He chatted as he prepared our order and made us feel like valued customers. Got me a bag of the Juan Pueblo roast. Riley asked how I was going to brew it so he could select the right grind. You’ll never hear that question over at that place who’s name rhymes with schmarbucks. I’ll be back every time I’m in Athens. Highly recommended.
