Crema's Take

Hearth Bakery is a warmly designed neighborhood gem in West Highlands where exceptional pastries—think raspberry white chocolate scones and seasonal vegetable danish—steal the show alongside thoughtfully crafted coffee and matcha. The baristas greet you like friends, creating an atmosphere so welcoming that regulars describe it as the perfect way to start their day, and the cozy wood-toned space with those signature glass jars feels like a gathering place built for lingering conversations and genuine connection.

I love this place and I love their glass jars. The coffee and matcha are both good! The raspberry white chocolate scone is a favorite and I’ve been loving their seasonal veggie danish, so I’m excited to see what they do next season!

Absolutely stellar pastries! On par with the best we’ve had anywhere in Denver. We were in a big group and tried many different pastries. All were delicious. Had the drip coffee as well, which was great.

The cutest little coffee shop in Highlands. The barista is so friendly and greeted me with a smile and hello as soon as I walked in. The pasties were incredible and the latte warmed me right up on a chilly winter day. Highly recommend the French onion soup danish and cookie butter latte. Give this place a try, you won’t regret it !

Hearth is exactly the kind of spot West Highlands needed. I stopped in with a friend and we were immediately struck by how beautifully they’ve revamped the old Novo Coffee space - warm wood tones, soft natural light, and a vibe that feels both modern and cozy. We started with the Lavender Rose Iced Oat Latte, which was as gorgeous as it was delicious - lightly floral, not too sweet, and perfectly creamy. For pastries, the Grapefruit Earl Grey Tea Bread was a standout: tender crumb with a delicate citrus-tea flavor that felt like spring in every bite. And the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie? Absolutely unreal - gooey center, crisp edges, and that deep, nutty richness only brown butter can bring. For something heartier, we split the Spicy Turkey Provolone Sandwich, which packed real flavor - the perfect balance of heat, melty cheese, and savory turkey on fresh, crusty bread. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, and it’s clear they care about the details - from the thoughtful menu to the plating to the warm energy of the space. Hearth is definitely going into the regular rotation.
