Adapt Cafe

Crema's Take
“Adapt Cafe is a minimalist third-wave coffee haven in Portland's Brooklyn neighborhood that nails the balance between serious espresso craft and approachable warmth, with baristas who clearly care about getting your cappuccino perfect. The clean white aesthetic and open seating make it equally suited for a focused work session or lingering over one of their standout pastries—the house-made marionberry pop tart has earned its reputation. Whether you're ordering an experimental aeropress fermentation, a silky matcha latte, or bringing the whole family in for homemade treats, this is the kind of neighborhood spot that makes you want to stay and actually hang out.”

We were looking for a minimal aesthetic, third wave quality coffee shop to relax and enjoy the shop experience, and Adapt served on all counts. I had a “sort of wild” aeropress blueberry coferment from Sunday Morning Coffee Project, and a cappuccino. Both were excellent. I appreciate them carrying a more playful offering, as well as really well produced traditional drinks. We also enjoyed a burrito (Saturday’s only?) and a pastry. The aesthetic was just what we wanted, plenty of seating with a thoughtful clean design to the space. Bonus points for the interior design/art books and chill music, making for a comfortable and entertaining place to relax for an hour and enjoy.
Another great place for our latte fix. AdaptCafe has a nice place with open spaces and nice seating areas. The barista is super nice and friendly. Both the matcha and cafe lattes tasted delicious. Will definitely be back again.
This cute little spot is very hip (in the black metal seating and minimalism decor sort of way), very cute. I got the famed marionberry poptart which lived up to the hype. I got a season pistachio drink that ended up being a little too sweet for my taste (I was told it was slightly sweet but was surprised when it was full blown). Latte art was beautiful. The barista was wonderfully helpful and gave a full rundown of the offerings. This is not a work in a coffee shop sort of cafe. The tables are small yet cute. Better to plan for a short visit.
MUST VISIT! The clean white aesthetic made the space feel even bigger. Plenty of seating for a neighborhood coffee shop. Our 9 year old loved the brownie and home made pop tart! Pastry program is top tier, also loving their support in hosting local pop ups. Noticed the barista is a local latte art winner, and the matcha was elite and so delicious! Espresso and drip were incredible. They are currently using beans from a coffee roaster in the UK. Highly recommend picking up a bag before they run out. Will be back!
Fantastic coffeehouse in the Brooklyn neighborhood. The barista was incredibly nice and made my cappuccino perfectly! A very clean white vibe that was cozy enough to stay and chill for a bit.
