Capriccio Cafe and Bar
110 N 16th St, Philadelphia, PA
Crema's Take
“Capriccio is a downtown Philadelphia gem where the coffee and service shine brightest—regulars praise staff like Elijah for attentive, personalized drinks made exactly to order, and the cafe handles the Christmas Eve rush with gracious focus that feels genuinely rare. The space invites lingering with both traditional and specialty drinks plus a full breakfast menu, though be aware their pricing may not match the menu board and the pastry selection is a bit hit-or-miss.”

I ordered a 2 SP Up & Out, and the menu said $7, but they charged $8 plus tax. I told the masked employee that it said $7, and they just said, “That’s that, but in our system it’s $8, so we can’t change it.” I told them that’s false advertising, and their response was, “Do you still want the beer or not?” This isn’t even a mistake—they’re just being that bold.
Great spot! We came here out of the blue on Christmas Eve with way more people than they anticipated along with their regular crowd. Ne person working, service was amazing, focused on everyone constantly with food and drinks. We had their holiday specialty drinks-delicious! The food was great! The everything bagel and multi-grain bread Yum!!! Highly recommend you stop in! Breakfast, lunch, coffee & Drinks!!!
I came in here for two days for an escape from my job and Elijah gave me a wonderful, attentive service. He made my drinks exactly as I asked and even suggested modifications that I very much enjoyed. He is a very professional worker and a good man who cares about his customers. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a good drunk and a experience to hit this place up, and ask for Elijah as bartender. 100 outta 10. Thr man is a good hard worker and deserves a raise. His service is exactly what made my experience here great.
A nice Cafe shop in the middle of downtown area of Philadelphia city center. It is a two minute walk from the Love Park. The cafe is nice, has decent coffee options both in cold and warm. They have a proper breakfast and Lunch menu as well as a decent sized bakery section. They also have an ice cream station with 8 flavors available. The prices are really good as compared to the quantity being served. They also have decent vegetarian options on the menu. The best part is there outdoor seating area that is covered with umbrellas and can only be entered by the customers from inside the cafe. There are good views from the outdoor cafe seating. A nice place to grab coffee. Parking around the area is difficult around the downtown during the day, but better in the evening after 4 PM paid roadside parking is available around the area. The cafe is fully wheelchair accessible.
banana bread sucks, it’s not sweet at all not moist taste like some vegan stuff or something like that. i called they denied to give me a refund im highly disappointed with the service i received. I feel like if a customer is dissatisfied a refund for a $5 banana slice would not be a problem. i will not be returning. food is overpriced and nasty.
