Crema's Take
“Bru Chicago is a cozy, moody spot that's earned serious devotion for their crepes—reviewers are still daydreaming about them hours later—plus genuinely excellent coffee drinks like their Biscoff Cold Brew that reads more like an indulgent milkshake. The relaxed, old-school atmosphere and full breakfast menu make it equally perfect for a first date, a solo work session with wifi, or a family morning out, with prices that feel refreshingly reasonable for the quality you're getting.”

So, those are just crepes, right? Seems nothing less, nothing more. But since I ate the first bite and now more than 2 hours after finishing them, I'm still thinking about them, and I'll be thinking about them tomorrow too lol: how good they were, how the dough was perfectly thin and a little crunchy but still soft, how the fillings of those crepes were yummy and filling, with a vegan option too! I'm now just planning to come back as soon as possible. I haven't eaten crepes that good since I was in Europe (5 years ago). Thank you 🥺🩷🥞😋
Amazing! Came here on a first date. It’s been a while since I tried a new spot and was wowed all the way around. Chai tea latte was PERFECT, our crepes were to die for, the prices were reasonable, and the space was spacious, but also comfy and cozy. Love! And seemed queer friendly, which is why I picked it ☺️🏳️🌈 Going to try out the Loop location with my mom and aunt tomorrow 💕
I walked into Bru in my two tone Caleb Williams jersey that I bought from a Mexican street vendor the day before, drenched in sweat and mud after running routes over at Wicker Park. It may have just been the jersey, but I was DEALIN. I threw like 9 TDs and only 1 pick. I was in dire need of some protein after such a dominant performance, so I went with the Purple Line smoothie that consisted of strawberries, blueberries, peanut butter, and vanilla whey protein. $11.50 before tax and tip was a little steep in my opinion, but it was delicious. It replenished my body after a hard fought W. IG @johnny.novo Tiktok @jnov__ Substack @johnnynovo
Bru Chicago is such a great find — moody, cozy vibes that make it perfect for a chill morning or afternoon stop. The Biscoff Cold Brew was incredible — like a milkshake meets cold brew with that perfect Biscoff crunch. Absolutely delicious! The banana Nutella crepe was just as amazing — they didn’t skimp on the filling, and every bite was rich and satisfying. Definitely my new go-to spot whenever I’m in Wicker Park!
Great breakfast spot with an relaxed old vibe atmosphere. The crepes are fantastic. I loved the English breakfast crepe. My wife devoured the California crepe and my daughter enjoyed her banana chocolate crepe. The specialty coffees are great too.
