The Coach Coffee Shop

Crema's Take

Nestled inside a boutique shopping space, The Coach Coffee Shop blends retail discovery with café culture in a uniquely Austin way, though visitors seem more captivated by the aesthetic and ambiance than the coffee itself. The compact spot moves people quickly and maintains a clean, welcoming environment that works well for a casual stop while browsing nearby stores, though quality and consistency in the drinks appear to be occasional pain points. It's the kind of place where the experience and surroundings matter more than the espresso—perfect if you're looking for a cute photo spot and light refreshments between shopping, rather than a destination for serious coffee lovers.

Visited on a weekday afternoon. Honestly, the experience was just okay overall. The ambiance didn’t really stand out and wasn’t something I particularly liked — it felt pretty average. We ordered a cappuccino and a chai latte, and both were mid. Not bad, but nothing memorable or special. Overall, it’s fine if you’re nearby, but not a place I’d go out of my way to visit again.

We stopped in here while furniture shopping and my friend got a drink that she loved. The ambiance was so fun. It seems like an enjoyable place to shop.

First time here, just happened to stumble upon it. Cute little cafe inside the store, no line, moved people very quickly. Couple tables, very clean. Had some cute souvenirs that were specific to the cafe. Small menu and pastries, fair prices. Good flavor. Worth a try if you’re a Coach fan, but otherwise there was nothing special or fancy in particular about it.

The concept of combining a café and a boutique is great. However, my visit to this particular location was disappointing. The cappuccino was far too hot — so hot that it was impossible to drink for a long time, which is unacceptable for a cappuccino. In addition, there were far too many staff members in the boutique area. The constant feeling of being watched created tension and made browsing or shopping uncomfortable. I expected a premium experience from a place like this, but instead it felt more like an ordinary, unremarkable café. This visit did not make me want to return or purchase anything.

Coach Coffee Cafe is super cute and aesthetic definitely a fun spot to visit. I didn’t try the coffee since reviews said it wasn’t worth it, so I can’t speak on that. I got the yellow Chocolate Tabby Cake (seasonal) and it was really good, but $12 felt a little steep probably paying for the branding and packaging. The Lavender Lemonade was decent, refreshing. My boyfriend’s Arnold Palmer was missing the lemonade, but staff swapped it for just lemonade, which he liked better. Service was okay. I was told my dogs couldn’t stay in the coffee shop area (even though they were allowed in the store), which was a little confusing but I respected it. Overall, it’s a cute spot, but the experience was just average.
