The Coffee Loft

Crema's Take
“Tucked away in charming Fairhope, this cozy independent spot greets you warmly and serves up an impressive roster of distinctive specialty coffees—think rice-forward single origins and creative house blends like Snickerdoodle and Kitchen Sink alongside thoughtfully executed pastries and breakfast items. The eclectic atmosphere doubles as a gallery space for local artists, making it as much a gathering place for the community as it is a destination for adventurous coffee drinkers who appreciate real craft over a massive menu.”

Super cute coffee place we found on our first trip to Fairhope. This town is a gem. Big drink menu and a few food items. You don't need a bunch if you do them well. Karla had a smoothie which was just right. I had a cold brew which was strong! We had some Brooklyn bagels; mine with ham, egg and cheese. Karla had the cream cheese with everything bagel. I'd recommend it all. Very friendly staff. All kinds of Knick knacks in the store. No indoor seating but nice front porch. We will be back.
Greeted when walked in door. Cozy atmosphere with interesting coffee flavors and many choices that I have never seen before. The coffee was full of distinct rice flavor, wanted another after first cup.
Cool eclectic coffee shop. Will be back anytime I can! The ham egg and cheese on the everything bagel was delicious. Yogurt parfait, equally 👍 lovely. Snickerdoodle and kitchen sink coffees were CRAZY good! Great staff and friendly inclusive environment. The art and available gear are wonderful too.
Still My Favorite, But Hoping for a Return to Its Roots Coffee Loft has been my go-to for years—my favorite coffee shop, hands down. I’ve always loved the cozy, sit-down vibe it used to have—the kind of place where you could curl up with a good book, chat with a friend, or just take a quiet moment for yourself. Lately, though, it feels like it’s shifted more into a touristy drive-through stop, and I really miss the charm and heart it used to have. I’ve also noticed some changes in the drink recipes. They seem noticeably sweeter now, and it feels like the balance that made them so good is getting lost. The Avalanche is still my all-time favorite—it’s one of the best coffee drinks I’ve ever had—but even that tastes a little different lately. I say all this with love. This place means a lot to me, and I’ll always support it. I just hope to see it return to the basics and the atmosphere that made it so special in the first place. There’s nothing wrong with growth—but I’d love for it to feel like home again.
Wonderful local coffee shop. This cute little coffee shop offers local paints/photography, shirts and of course coffee for sale. They have a variety of specialty coffee drinks which is always fun. This place isn’t really set up for hanging out though as there’s not a ton of seating. We went back twice for the French Toast cold brew, as the misses is a cold brew fanatic. Great little place worth trying!
