Crema's Take

Tucked into Chicago's Avondale neighborhood, this cozy coffee shop wins hearts with its thoughtfully designed space that blends mid-century charm with modern touches—think exposed brick, vibrant flower murals, and potted plants that make you want to linger over a cappuccino for hours. The real magic here is the vibe: whether you're stealing a quiet moment with a book, powering through work emails, or meeting a friend, the genuinely friendly staff and inviting atmosphere (complete with a backyard patio) make it feel like the kind of place where you're genuinely welcome to stay as long as you'd like.

Amazing coffee, always very adorable café lovely decorations really cozy place to have a sit down or to just enjoy a cozy Sunday quality is always top-notch. Establishment is always very clean and I really love the parking lot. That is so helpful in such a busy intersection.

Neat coffee shop. Vibe, service, and coffee is top tier here. Cappuccino is nice but the vibe is unmatched. Under $5 for the cappuccino but this place is a 10 out of 10!

Fantastic coffee spot to sit with a book or work on your laptop! They have plenty of table space and other seating options. The vibe in here is very cozy and friendly, it feels right out of a 90s sitcom. They have great latte flavor options as well as tea, and non caffeinated choices too. The ham and cheese croissant was one of the best I’ve had, and the maple cinnamon latte was delicious. Definitely recommend for a quick caffeine fix or to stay awhile!

Seriously recommend giving this place a try. The interior mixes mid-century decor and design with beautiful flower murals, revealed brick, and potted plants for that modern and natural touch. The service is great, and it's one of the few places with a solid pour-over menu - worth the price point for how vibrantly the flavors come through. Will be dragging my friends here when I get the chance.

A big fan of the atmosphere - cozy chairs and a backyard patio I have yet to try. Helpful and friendly customer service. I did come at a quiet time and still had a tough time finding parking, but nice and peaceful inside once I found a spot. Got myself a lovely cappuccino. Have plans to return, for sure. ☕️
