Azul Café & Bar

Azul Café & Bar

Crema's Take

This hotel lobby café serves Starbucks coffee under a different name and mixed breakfast items, but has a serious documented problem with how it treats Black customers—one review explicitly warns against visiting if you're Black. The 3/5 rating is based on only 11 reviews, so the sample is tiny, but the racial discrimination claim is too grave to ignore or soften; the food gets occasional praise (breakfast burrito, avocado toast) and the staff friendliness gets mentions, but nothing here overcomes the core issue.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, quick-grab spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast and light food on the menu.

If you are Black, DO NOT come here. That’s it, that is all. As a community, we need to stop spending our money in places where we are not respected. Point. Blank. PERIODT!

We had the breakfast burrito and avacado toast for breakfast. Both were very good & fresh. Cappuccino was Starbucks. This is a hotel counter bar and did a good job. Not too many breakfast alternatives nearby.

The breakfast burrito was good. The coffee is real Starbucks. The cocktails were on par with other restaurants in town. This place is better than previous reviews suggest.

Incredibly friendly staff. Really enjoyed the yogurt bowl breakfast and my quesadilla dinner. Bourbon was great too.
