Sunday Morning

Crema's Take
“This neighborhood gem has built a devoted following around their exceptional cinnamon rolls, which arrive fresh throughout the day thanks to brisk turnover, and visitors rave about the owner's personal touch and genuinely warm staff. The vibe is quintessentially New York slow-coffee-shop—perfect for lingering over a cappuccino and pastry with friends or working solo—and the quality of both the baked goods and traditional espresso drinks keeps people coming back across all three locations.”

Visited for the first time on a Friday morning and the cinnamon rolls absolutely lived up to the hype! The staff were incredibly sweet, and the owner even stopped by to check in. 10/10 a must-visit.
Incredibly good cinnamon rolls and definitely worth the waiting!! 🤩
Sunday Morning has opened a third location in Nomad on Sunday. I came here as I had wanted to try their cinnamon rolls. After choosing the plain glazed one, I also got a cappuccino and sat down. This cinnamon roll is delicious because it isn’t sickly sweet like in other bakeries. Diego, the store manager, explained that the owners honed the recipe to cut out the excess sugar. I ate joyfully as each bite was ambrosial. For me the coffee was superfluous as this was perfect on its own. Maybe with the other flavors coffee would have been fine. The interior of Sunday Morning is large with the kitchen in the back. The pastry cooks were busy glazing sheet pans filled with the rolls. Seating is also available and a gender neutral restroom is also here. Vlada helped customers and placed them in boxes and Jay, the barista, prepared the coffees. I am hoping that on a weekday there won’t be a queue like today when I breezed in but on the weekends it may get busy. For now, run to have the tastiest cinnamon roll in the Big Apple!
Delicious blueberry cinnamon roll
Incredibly tasty rolls that somehow weren’t too heavy. Lots of fun flavors, and always very fresh because of the fast turnover. The line moved pretty slow but I would guess they’ll iron that out. A good amount of seating inside. Tried the strawberry earl grey, caramel pecan, cream cheese frosted, and blueberry lemon. All delicious!
