“The Habit's staff remembers your order before you walk through the door, which tells you everything about how seriously they take the relationship between coffee shop and regular. The espresso and pour-overs are legitimately excellent—picky coffee drinkers specifically call it out—and they pair them with locally made pastries in a genuinely welcoming atmosphere that makes the detour off I-95 feel obvious. This is the kind of independent shop that makes people want to become regulars.”
