Hit and miss. Products are good, but the wait times are unacceptable. I have waited at the counter for ten minutes and not even been greeted by anybody. The baristas seem hopelessly overworked, so I blame management for not having enough of them to run this place. It wasn't even a peak time to be there today and I just walked out because I didn't think it would take over ten minutes to get my order in, and then who knows how must longer it would have taken to complete my order. Ridiculous.
We needed to come and sit for a few hours to get some work done and found this place! Super cute and cozy. There are several different seat options and good food and drink choices. The food is good sized portions and the price is reasonable. The workers were all very nice.
Delightful coffee shop, I loved the fireplace. Sitting near it, I never would have guessed it was attached to a gas station, if I didn’t already know! Can’t wait to gas up again!
I usually don’t take the time to leave reviews, especially bad ones. Today though, this seemed ridiculous… I don’t know who they had in the kitchen on 7/31/23 at 6:50pm but what happened here? I ordered the smokehouse wrap and got the square version I guess??? I will only be attending the Ankeny location from now on…
Great location. One of the smaller locations of Smokey Rows in the Des Moines Metro area, but big enough to find a place to sit and work on your laptop or to meet up with friends. Same drink menu as other locations with the same excellent flavors and quality for both drinks and food. It is connected to a Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh. Update: went back about 5 days after my original visit and it was the same staff working as the first time. They all recognized me and treated me as a friend. Great customer service. Will definitely be back again.
