Across from South Central Park and next to the Winter Haven Library resides Richard's Fine Coffees. For over 25 years Richard's Fine Coffee's has been supplying downtown Winter Haven with caffeinated beverages and food. David Tuttle opened Richard's Fine Coffee's on June 11, 1996. Upon realizing that there were no independent coffee house in Winter Haven, he wanted to bring residents and visitors a new coffee drinking experience. Richard's originally operated out of the Arcade Building before moving to the new Winter Haven Public Library when it opened its new building in 2005. In the ensuing years Richard's Fine Coffee's has become a cornerstone to the revitalization of downtown. One of the keys to Richard's longevity has been providing a place where people can meet, relax, and enjoy delicious coffee and bites. On the first Friday of every month they have a live music event. They serve a daily breakfast and lunch menu that includes hot and cold coffee drinks, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, hot and cold sandwiches, salads, soup, and pastries. I popped in for caffeinated refreshment during a recent trip to Winter Haven. I like how you can enjoy your drinks and food in their large dining room, on the patio, or across the street in beautiful South Central Park. Richard's has become more than a place where you can eat and drink. It is an important part of bringing the community together in downtown Winter Haven.
An iced chai latte paired with a warm cup of tomato soup is sure to brighten anyone’s day! The owners, Koreen and Jimmy, along with their staff, create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. They happily recommend the perfect options to suit your taste. Whether you’re meeting for business, catching up with an old friend, or looking for a safe, clean space to enjoy a snack and do homework with the kids, this is the place to be! The cozy ambiance and friendly service truly make it a standout destination in the community.
Came here before hitting the road and the bagels were amazing. Fresh and flavor. Highly recommending the Asiago if you like a cheese base. The smoothies were terrible. Asiago: 9/10 very good Strawberry smoothie: 0/10 tasted like nesquik blended with ice Mango smoothie: 1/10 like mango candy with sugar
⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Highly Recommended! I had an amazing experience at Richard’s Coffee in Winter Haven! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and heartfelt. The staff truly made me feel at home, and the customer service was outstanding. A special shout-out to Anaya — she was incredibly kind, remembered me all the way from Tampa, and made my visit feel even more personal. The food was delicious, the vibe was amazing, and everything was fresh and full of flavor. They’re open until 5 p.m., and I honestly recommend this place 100% to anyone looking for great food, great people, and a great experience. I absolutely love it here! The owner Koreen is amazing as well.
The place has a pleasant atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating area. I asked for their best-selling coffee and tried the English Toffee—it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but still enjoyable. The Rocky Sandwich, on the other hand, was absolutely delicious. They also offer a wide variety of bread options to choose from.
