Crema's Take

This beloved Black Hills institution earns its quirky name with genuine charm—a true hole-in-the-wall where the biscuits and gravy are so legendary that regulars swear they're better than homemade, and the steak biscuit has inspired road-trippers to make return pilgrimages. The magic isn't just in the food, but in the warmth: you'll be greeted like family by both staff and fellow diners in a homey vibe that feels authentically South Dakota, making it perfect whether you're grabbing coffee on the fly or settling in for a slow breakfast with loved ones. Open early and closing by 11 AM, it's a no-fuss, full-breakfast kind of place that proves the best spots never need fancy trappings.

Best steak and biscuit I’ve ever had! Absolutely incredible! I’ll be back for sure next time I make it back to rapid city.

We were greeted with a genuine Hello & How are you? by the Greeter AND fellow diners. The biscuits are light as a cloud and the gravy delicious. Homey, friendly vibe. If you want the Ritz, go to the Ritz. If you want down home, friendly service and good food, come to this place.

We stopped in for breakfast with our School of Mines student before leaving town to head home. The Biscuits and Gravy brought us in, and honestly, they're better than the ones my wife makes! Cool homey atmosphere and very reasonable prices. I can't wait to come back and try lunch!
