Coffee Republic - Metro Center
601 13th St NW, Washington, DC
Crema's Take
“This espresso-focused spot in Metro Center has won over regulars with genuinely warm staff who remember you and an atmosphere that somehow feels both energetic and chill—the kind of place where non-coffee drinkers become devotees. Beyond solid cortados and flavorful drip, they've nailed the details: fresh pastries like their beloved spinach Danish, friendly greetings from folks like Miguel, and a willingness to make things right that speaks to how much they care about your experience.”

The atmosphere is great my Macaroon was good. My sandwich was good. The coffee could've been better. But the customer service was great
UPDATE: Coffee Republic reached out to me and gave me a giftcard to go back and try them again based on my first visit. I went back and ordered a cortado again. However, this time I was handed what looked like 3 shots of espresso with a splash of milk. Additionally, it was filled to the brim and i spilled it everywhere before I could even take a sip or get over to the other counter. It was so bad that I just threw it away. For those reasons, I'm knocking them down to 2 stars. _____________________________ This is a good cafe, with very reasonable prices. However, the coffee itself wasn't anything to write home about. It gets the job done, but nothing beyond that. I ordered a cortado and was given a small latte, the milk to espresso ratio was off. It was reasonably priced at $4.00. The overall cafe was fine. They could use some signs in order to queue customers as the layout confusing.
This adorable cafe is one of my favorites to go to. They have absolutely turned a non coffee and chai drinker into a regular! The energy of the staff is so warm and welcoming. The food and drinks are always made with love. They have become my happy place. I love it here!!
Chill, relaxed store with a pleasant atmosphere. Pop music playing softly, greeted by Miguel when I came in, who was very friendly. Ordered a 12 oz drip coffee. It was very flavorful. Overall, a very positive experience and I think I've found my new favorite coffee shop.
Great food and super friendly staff. The service is quick and the food is fresh. Highly recommend their spinach Danish as it was a light breakfast that wasnt messy. Coffee is tasty as well.
