Marian's Bagels
248 S University Dr, Plantation, FL
Crema's Take
“This beloved Plantation breakfast spot thrives on nostalgia and community, where regulars bond with longtime servers like Betty and Linda over generous portions and the famous 2-2-2 deal. The bagels and full breakfast menu draw families and coffee lovers seeking that classic deli-style sit-down experience, though fair warning—weekend mornings pack the house and the kitchen can be inconsistent. Best enjoyed when you're there for the people and the unhurried Saturday morning ritual rather than expecting flawless execution.”

At our Saturday morning breakfast we enjoy bantering with our long time server friends Betty, Linda and Juan C. etc who even helped plan a surprise birthday breakfast. So much food with the 2-2-2 option ! Plus fresh bagels , pastries and fresh juices at the front . Lunch good too
Place filed for bankruptcy LOOK ELSEWHERE.. the servers are all older washed up and miserable.. I asked to sit certain area.. the bus boy who acted in as host asked if I minded sitting at table close to the door. If I didn't mind I wouldn't have requested another section. The food came out wrong and waited until well after my order was submitted and said oh we are out of cinnamon raisin bagel were you the one who ordered it. Just a horrendous experience the sliced nova I got when I ordered the platter looked like toppings for cat food. Ive had it previously and were generous portions. Plantation Diner on Broward Blvd or Cracked Egg just opened up Planataion Walk are excellent options.. This place used to be great. Unfortunately went downhill quick!! Read this review and run
Ordered chicken soup. Received a quart of just chicken broth with 2 pieces of carrots (no other veggies or chicken). Called and they said sorry the soup we had today didn’t have a lot of chicken. Ordered through DoorDash. Received only partial credit. Serving $11 chicken broth
I’ve been a customer of Marion’s when it was actually owned by Marion. I will say that this place has gone down hill in a hurry the past year. The prices are way too high for the food portions and quality. The take out never gets the order correct and it’s never on time. I hate to say this but they lost a customer that’s been loyal for over 30 years. Good thing bagel and co is opening up down the road. This place needs to get its act together fast or they will lose more customers.
Prepare yourself for long lines and overworked servers that struggle to get to your table bc they're working 20 tables. But the servers are diligent and relatively responsive. The busser was far nicer and more responsive though. He was the one who got us drinks and refilled them when they were empty, took away empty dishes. But the bagels here are some of the best in South Florida. I can't recommend them enough. There's a reason this place has a wait. They also make their lemonade by hand. Best lemonade in the area, rivalled only by Wawa's frozen lemonade. The atmosphere is reminiscent of an classic deli. You won't be disappointed coming here (other than if you've got somewhere to be).
