Grounded Coffee Transit

Crema's Take
“Grounded Coffee Transit is a welcoming neighborhood spot in Lexington where thoughtful craft extends beyond espresso to house-made cream cheeses, creative bagel sandwiches, and a stellar iced matcha that keeps people coming back. The vibe strikes that rare balance between productive work haven and genuine gathering place, with genuinely helpful baristas who seem invested in making your visit feel personal rather than transactional. It's the kind of place where you'll overhear conversations about discovering unexpected flavor combinations and where regulars have already claimed their favorite corner within a month of first visiting.”

Love Grounded All Day! I’ve discovered it recently in the last month, and I’ve been back four times. It’s a cozy place to get some work done or meet up with a friend. The bagels are phenomenal, as is the “London’s Calling”! I’m pretty picky when it comes to London Fogs. I’ve had a lot in Lexington, and theirs is the best I’ve had.
Absolutely loved this spot. The food was fantastic, the iced matcha was so good, and the service truly stood out. Friendly, patient, and full of great suggestions. Such a welcoming experience and I cannot wait to go back. Only small notes are parking can be a bit of a walk and indoor seating is limited, but that will likely feel much easier in nicer weather.
First time trying this café in Leestown, and overall, the experience was disappointing. The only highlight was the cashier—she was very kind and welcoming, though I didn’t catch her name. When ordering food and drinks, several items were unavailable—no pickled onions, no tomatoes, and even the Bluegrass Breeze drink was out of stock. I understand it was around 1:30 p.m., but being out of so many ingredients made ordering frustrating. The staff didn’t greet or smile, and service felt a bit unorganized. The bagels themselves were underwhelming, and the drinks weren’t much better. I ordered the Northern Exposure (missing pickled onions) and received a mango green tea instead of the Bluegrass Breeze, which tasted more like straight water than tea. Our friends had similar issues, being told there were no tomatoes—yet another sandwich came out with a few slices on it. For the price, the quality and portions just didn’t match. Everything felt overpriced for what you actually get. It’s a cute spot to hang out or study, but overall, the food, drinks, and service didn’t live up to expectations.
This was the cutest place! Went with a group for coffee and was pleasantly surprised by delicious sandwich options?? Flavors I didn’t ever think would go together were delicious. Our barista was incredibly sweet, super helpful, and even gave us samples of different spreads to make sure we’d like what we order! All in all, big fan with plans to be back!
*Vegetarian* Best bagel sandwich spot I’ve ever been to! They have a variety of cream cheeses all house made to choose from and they are phenomenal. I ended up ordering 4 times! The sandwich is carefully crafted so that it is not overpowering on the cream cheese and has the perfect amount of veggies/toppings. The staff are very friendly and great people. The atmosphere is the extremely calming, they have a cozy indoor environment but the outdoor patio seating is very vast and all made of handmade wooden furniture. It is an amazing experience that you should go out of your way for. I will definitely visit again when i’m in the area.
