Crema's Take
“This Palestinian-rooted cafe brings authentic Levantine hospitality to Chicago with a distinctive Middle Eastern atmosphere that feels both cozy and creative. Beyond traditional teas and breads, Oud excels at adventurous specialty lattes like their signature oud and white mocha pistachio—perfect for adventurous coffee lovers who want to venture beyond standard espresso drinks. It's a spacious, design-forward spot ideal for lingering over work or conversation, though arrive with patience as service can be inconsistent.”

Place is great! A Palestinian cafe serving Levantine and non-Levantine dishes and beverages from traditional teas and breads to cheesecakes and matcha! I’ve tried food, beverages and desserts and this place is always 10/10 The breakfast wrap- amazing Potato quiche- lovely the peppers were great The dipped and stuffed dates- great Paninis/sandwiches- always flavorful and meat always cooked well The raspberry lime mint mojito - refreshing bubbly beverage with fresh mint is a great for my lunch breaks Iced matcha latte- traditional matcha flavor not sweetened but you can sweeten to your liking, delicious And lastly I tried their white mocha hot latte and it was - SO SO GOOD. Seriously better than some other famous places I’ve tried. As for the customer service, everyone I’ve encountered there is nice. When it comes to reviews please remember some staff come from different cultural backgrounds and it’s totally normal to not be overly smiling, hyper-communicative and loud in order to be polite. Some folks are just naturally quieter and more shy but that doesn’t mean they aren’t kind in customer service. Overall I love this spot. Has so many things to try and a great atmosphere and ambience and top tier food and bev. Great staple for the community, :) جزاك الله خيراً
I’ve been to Oud twice now and unfortunately both visits had the same vibe when it came to customer service: unwelcoming. No greeting, no thank you, which really affects the overall experience. On our last visit, my friend’s tea also took a very long time to come out. The space itself is really nice: big, bright, and with plenty of seating (though it can get busy on weekends and can be hard to find a table). The coffee was good, which is why I’d still consider coming back, but better service would make a big difference.
Plenty of seating and great for working (at least went I went on a weekday morning). Nice selection of sweeter / signature lattés if you’re into that. Really enjoyed the white mocha pistachio! Definitely will return!
Oud Coffee & Cafe has a really nice Middle Eastern vibe — cozy atmosphere, great design, and a relaxing spot to hang out or get some work done. I loved their Chicken Panini and their lattes — both were delicious and perfectly made. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the Dubai Chocolate Cake; it was too juicy for my taste. Overall, it’s a great cafe with good food and a unique vibe. I’ll definitely be back for the coffee and panini!
Tried Oud Cafe and really enjoyed it! The oud latte was unique — definitely different, but in a good way. If you’re looking to try something outside the usual coffee flavors, this is a must-try. The cold brew was excellent too, smooth and very flavorful. Great spot if you’re into exploring new coffee experiences.
