Corner Cafe

Crema's Take
“Tucked into Kennett Square, this spot excels as a leisurely breakfast and brunch destination with a charming sidewalk presence perfect for soaking in a beautiful day. The kitchen shines brightest when executing their specials—think thick-cut French toast and made-to-order comfort dishes like sausage gravy and biscuits—though consistency with standard menu items has become a bit uneven. Warm, attentive service and a genuinely family-friendly vibe make it a natural gathering place for both locals and travelers passing through, especially when you catch them on a good day.”

The quality of the food seems to be getting worse every time I go here… the chicken especially. Not sure if they changed where they get their chicken from but something changed in the last several months. I couldn’t eat my chicken sandwich because the meat was disgusting. Used to love this place
I wasn’t a fan of the food. The breakfast potatoes tasted like they were reheated. Not fresh. Not good. Not crispy. I got the philly cheesesteak eggs bendict. Not very flavorful and would think there would be some peppers and onions on it. The fries also tasted like they weren’t fresh and were overcooked. $6 for a meat side is way too much and $3.50 for a basic cup of coffee is too.
We were passing through the area and decided to have some breakfast. We were greeted right away, and everyone was so pleasant there. We had a wonderful waitress (I apologize for for forgetting her name). There was a little bit of a wait, but expected based on time we went. Our girls enjoyed their breakfasts, and we enjoyed our meals. It was a nice little pit stop, and would definitely recommend based on environment alone.
Sat at sidewalk table on this beautiful day. Hostess sat us promptly. Server was spot on with drinks, food (special requests) and checking back. French toast was extra thick and cooked perfectly. Eggs were average. Sausage link was plump and tasty. Good and plentiful coffee.
My dish was a special that was on a previous day but the chef was very kind and made it for me and I’m still dreaming about that breakfast it was fantastic . My fiancé had sausage gravy with biscuits and he didn’t care for it at all he said there wasn’t any flavor. We will go back for breakfast again .
