Ankeny Cafe

These are stars based on the particular restaurants ambiance? It is a small quaint cafe that makes you feel right at home in small town. The servers remember your name and your order most times. Jessica was fantastic. Easy for a quick lunch.I went there with a gal pal of mine and we split a meal and got some pie.It wasn't too busy, so you could hear your own conversation. I really appreciate how the staff engaged in its customers, no matter what time of day.

Excellent in every way possible. We dined with Ankeny Cafe on 12/23 just before the holidays and the place was extremely busy and had a small number of staff, but let me tell you they operate incredibly efficiently and they don’t miss a beat! Our server and the cashier were incredibly polite, orders were accurate, and food was incredible. We all had breakfast items (omlets and classics) and cannot wait to go back. Support local and give this place a try!

10/10 recommend. Very friendly servers that were prompt. Great food that came out fast and hot with good portions. Fair priced. The atmosphere was cozy, and I loved the retro vibe at the counter seating area. There are also booths and tables if the counter doesn't work for you. This is a new favorite spot for me!

I have been going here for over 12 years now and every time I come in there's a warmth that you can feel. The service, the food, the conversations, this is a community staple of Ankeny!! I was having breakfast at the counter talking about Omaha and the history of this restaurant, just enjoying the conversation. This restaurant is an extension of my family! Amazing local diner ran by a great family. The new owners are working so hard to preserve the family vibe that Dean and Brandi served all of these years and are doing a great job. Heidi, her mom and daughters have really hit the ground running. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy! My breakfast date really enjoyed their breakfast as well. Special shout out to the customers that let me take their photos at the stools 😊. I am looking forward to coming back with my husband!
