Madres Espresso
3210 Cooper Point Rd NW, Olympia, WA
Crema's Take
“Madres Espresso has earned fierce loyalty from Olympia regulars who praise the baristas' genuine warmth and memory for customers' favorite orders, like the pink lotus and almond combinations that keep people coming back. While speed isn't their forte, they make up for it with quality espresso drinks, an impressive pastry selection, and a genuinely dog-friendly atmosphere that reflects the owner's love for animals. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where the community connection and attentive service matter more than the drive-thru convenience.”

Madres is my new addiction! All the girls there are sooooo sweet! I am especially appreciative of Tyena (spelling?) she has learned I always like pink lotus and am obsessed with almond so she always gives me new ideas of drinks to try!
In-cred-ibly S L O W. They make good coffee and have a surprising number of food options, but my family lives about a mile away and I've been coming here for years and DEAR GOD are they by far the slowest coffee establishment I've ever been to. In fact, I'm siting in their line right now. It's been 16 minutes, and 2 cars have been serviced. I still have 2 cars in front of me. That means that I'm going to sit in line for a half an hour for a coffee. Seriously. It's ridiculous. Guys, please address this I love your stand and you make good coffee and are nice, but I can literally get out of line, drive to my house, make coffee, and get back here two times before I'll get coffee from the stand. Again, I've been coming for years. This isn't a particular employee. It's the entire business. EDIT Okay, you guys get additional stars now because of the fact that you followed up on the review, were gracious about it, recognized me like a month later, and comped my coffee this AM to make up for it. That means a lot to me as a customer. Also, I find it endearing that you guys call me "Oat latte guy". Or is it... embarrassing? Anywho... My thoughts on speed might evolve over time but my review on efficiency stands for now. The effort and recognition go a long way. Thank you.
Madres espresso is only a short walk away from my house so it's convenient to go when I take my dog for a walk. From what I've heard about the owner is that they are lovers of animals, mainly dogs, but still animal lovers in general, and it's the reason they have biscuits behind the counter. I started taking my dog there to help train him around other people. I love when the barista is able to give him a command to sit before giving him his tasty rewards. The hot cocoa is only a couple of dollars and well worth it for the walk home.
This is my favorite coffee stand! The baristas are always friendly, and I love their variety of delicious coffee drinks! My sons enjoy the pastries! I look forward to my weekly trip to Madres! A+!
Today we stopped in and the entire coffee shop inside was sworming with bees. I mean I dont even u dertand how the two girl were still working in there and so kind. I would of quit my job. Also, im highly allergic to bees so I kept my window up but there were so many bees on the syrup bottles this camt be sanitary. Why not close down, fix this issue? Ive dont undertand how those poor girls weren't covered in bee sting there had to be 50 to 100 bees in there. I left and threw my food an drinks away because that cant be sanitary. I paid and was polite but never coming back.
