Nimble

Crema's Take
“Nimble is the sophisticated coffee bar you'll want to linger in, where thoughtful design and genuinely warm staff (especially if Mike is working) create an unexpectedly romantic space that feels like an elevated, grown-up version of your favorite casual spot. Beyond excellent traditional and creative coffee drinks, they've thoughtfully added wine and carefully curated snacks to their all-day café, making it equally suited for a solo work session, a date, or meeting a friend who might convince you to stay longer than planned.”

MIKE IS THE MAN! If he is working you'll be sure to experience 5star customer service. Anyways... Everything about nimble screams romantic chic elegant coffee bar and grab-n-go shop you wish you could frequent daily for coffee in the morning and cocktails at night. I love the employees who treat you like family whether it's your first time or 30th time getting your pistachio oatmilk latte (me😘). At night it turns into the most cozy sexy cocktail lounge and I particularly love grabbing a glass of the house red with charcuterie from their fridge. I also pick up groceries during the week like quality pasta, cheese, chips, chocolate and other locally made goodies etc. What I love most is the owner, David, behind it all. He is intentional about every aspect of the business and passionate about the experience for his customers. The walls are adorned with pictures he gathered of old bodegas around the world, and he even chose the gorgeous paint colors which give this warm fuzzy high end but not stuffy collegiate vibe. Instead of a commercialized doorbell sound when you open their front door a unique chime of little peeping birds sounds and makes you feel like you're in Snow White. It all connects back to the spirit of the hummingbird; nimble, quaint, speedy annd always thoughtful -- there to serve you. Grateful Chicago has shops like this for my romanticized coffee bar dreams to come true.
Really nice. Think elevated, more grown up version of Foxtrot. It feels great in here. Nice and thoughtfully decorated. Nice and warm touches everywhere. Good coffee bar, an all-day cafe + wine bar. Get a glass or buy a bottle and have yourself a day. It’s great. I’ll be back as often as I can. Shout out to my friendly staff too. Always a nice and welcoming touch. 10/10 recommend.
I was staying at The Godfrey looking for a local coffee shop and this one had really good reviews. It met my expectations. I got a bacon, ham, and cream cheese filled bread which is to die for. I also got a white mocha with whip cream also pretty good (a little more espresso tasting than my liking). The customer service was amazing and the ambience is very cozy. They have a selection of coffee, teas, some small foods, wine and market options. If I lived in the neighborhood I could see myself coming here by myself to work/ study or coming with a small group of friends to have a little break/ collab.
Their atmosphere is warm and relaxed also they have menus for glass of wine and various snacks!! I ordered the Flat white and White Mocha with oat milk. Flat white was okay and the white mocha was not too sweet. However the white mocha had kind of bad milk steaming. So this place is good for spend some time for chill or study, but not for professional latte arts or precise and velvety foamed.
Stumbling into this café ended up being the highlight of my day! The atmosphere is spot-on; warm, relaxed, and genuinely inviting without trying too hard. You can tell the staff are sweet and care about what they do; they greeted me with a smile and made the whole experience feel personal. My order was exception, the coffee was smooth and well-balanced, with none of that bitterness you sometimes get elsewhere. The sandwich tasted fresh and homemade and honestly the kind of thing you keep thinking about afterwards! What impressed me most was the attention to detail. Tables were clean, service was quick, and the whole place had that “local favourite” feel. Whether you’re looking to study, catch up with a friend, or grab something on the go with refrigerated items, this café is the kind of spot you end up coming back to! Highly recommend. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it.
