Manuel's Bread Cafe - North Augusta, SC
505 Railroad Ave #100, North Augusta, SC
Crema's Take
“Manuel's Bread Cafe is a tucked-away treasure in North Augusta where the warm hospitality extends to every guest, including four-legged friends, and where nostalgic, house-made pastries and cakes taste exactly as comforting as childhood memories. The kitchen shines brightest during breakfast and brunch hours with standouts like impossibly fluffy biscuits, creamy shrimp and grits, and creative soups like corn truffle, making it the kind of place where you'll happily linger over coffee and conversation in a setting that feels like discovering a beloved local secret.”

Food and service was amazing, tucked away from all busy main streets this gem is worth it. After eating take a stroll, capture the most beautiful architecture in my opinion. That was my first time there would definitely be back. Keep up the amazing work, spreading culinary love and preserving authentic flavors. A.L
THEY ARE SUCH A MUCH FRIENDLY PLACE. THEY WERE EVEN VERY ATTENTIVE TO MY DOG, ROXIE. THEIR CAKES ARE TO DIE FOR. THEY TASTE THE SAME WHEN I WAS A CHILD. SO SMOOTH AND FLAVORFUL FOOD. WOULD RECOMMEND AND THEY ARE PET FRIENDLY. THANKS TO A VERY ATTENTIVE STAFF. LORD BLESS EVERYONE WHO READS THIS...
Fantastic meals! The biscuits were out of this world with a crunchy top and tender inside. The shrimp and grits was phenomenal! The home fries with the omelette were so good. The server was very personable and responsive to everything we needed. It was an upscale experience in line with the elevated menu prices. Well worth your next intimate rendezvous!
We arrived around 11:30am (they open at 11) we expected our food to be hot but it was not. The fried ravioli was good but not as hot as it should be. The salmon was undercooked (raw in the middle). The chili had no flavor and the gyro was delicious but had 2 skinny slivers of meat. The sangria was ok. The best thing we tasted was the fries and aioli! We were also disappointed on how fast the food was coming out plus it not being hot. We’ve eaten in France several times and were hoping for a true European type of service which is definitely not fast service.
Kinda got turned around and discovered Manuel's driving by. My 1st time here and I will definitely be coming back. I had the corn truffle soup and Norwegian Croque with fries. It was so delicious. The outdoor seating is very nice, quiet and comfortable. I can't say enough about the Chantilly Berry cake. Just that I should have taken it to go🥰 Overall, a very enjoyable afternoon meal in a small corner of North Augusta that felt like I was someplace else. My waitress Kaylie was awesome, gave me great options and was attentive. Definitely worth turning around. Will definitely be back.
