Crema's Take
“Bru is a Chicago gem that goes far beyond standard coffee shop fare, earning genuine love from regulars for their expertly crafted specialty drinks like a silky brown sugar cinnamon cappuccino and seasonal creations such as salted maple cardamom lattes. The crepe-focused menu is where things get really interesting—think California breakfast crepes with chipotle sauce and rotating seasonal options—making it as much a destination for creative comfort food as for coffee, all served up in a charming space that feels both inviting and conducive to lingering.”

I am visiting Chicago and figure I stop into this location for a crepe. We spent 40+ on 2 crepes and 2 drinks. My partners crepe was good but I ordered the English Breakfast and my crepe was soggy and the bacon tasted microwaved. We asked for my crepe to be exchanged for the creme brûlée crepe but the staff stated that the manager stated we couldn’t exchange or refund it. Highly disappointed in the service and quality.
Literally every drink I’ve tried was so goooood! I can’t recommend the chai and the matcha enough. Only had the strawberry and mango crepes and that was good as well. Probably not as sweet as the other options but light and refreshing.
Nice place with good vibes. Had the California breakfast crepe with chipotle sauce and it was delicious! Also, tried their seasonal salted maple cardamom latte and it was equally enjoyable. Will be back next time I’m in the city!
Brü Chicago was such a fun surprise for us. We decided to go in just because we were craving for some crepes and we were amazed by both the charming Victoria and the crepes themselves. I was talking in Turkish with my wife when Victoria caught some words and replied us in Turkish which shocked us. She was extremely positive and helped us with our choices. We tried the English Breakfast and Blue Cheese & Mushroom and they were both super delicious. Super-light, easy to eat and digest - perfect for a morning bite. We will definitely come back here during our stay!
i have been here twice and i actually really love the coffee here! i always get a brown sugar cinnamon cappuccino and it is so smooth. they also offer a variety of crepes and acai bowls to eat! menu is very simple and easy to order! it’s one of my favorite places to study, plenty of tables and seating with probably chargers near the window. would recommend if you’re around or need a place to decompress
