Crema's Take

Crimson Cup's Grandview location charms visitors with genuinely kind baristas and creative touches like adorable murals, though quality can depend on who's behind the counter that day. The drive-thru delivers reliable espresso drinks that earn repeat visits, and they've earned real fans for unexpected wins like their frozen hot chocolate and plant-based sausage breakfast sandwich. It's a casual spot where you can grab a quick coffee or settle in for breakfast, though consistency seems to be their ongoing challenge.

This place can be very hit or miss on the quality, when the motel staff are manning the shop the drinks do not have the same level of quality as when it's the main crimson cup team. When it's good it's perfect Crimson Cup but when it's not I think about not getting my regular coffees from this location.

The employees are always some of the nicest and most patient people I’ve met, but any time I see or indirectly meet someone that reads as the manager type, whether of the coffee shop or the hotel, they never seem to be doing much of anything, always sitting around while their staff does all the work, even during rush hour. Granted I’ve only experienced this place during a rush once, but it still felt rude and I felt especially bad for the employees. Tip them well, especially if there’s only one or two employees working- which feels like their management cares even less about them. And I think it’s going for some 70’s-90’s aesthetic? It really, really doesn’t work. Looks fine but way too forced, and I believe it has caused some convenience aspects to customers and staff to just be non-existent. As well, there’s only a single table indoors for seating, the rest is outdoor. This would be odd, but there’s not much customer space to begin with so I can see why that’d be difficult. It’s a good place, and I’ve heard the rooms are super, their housekeeping crew sounds great, and their coffee is always a treat, moreso than the crimson cup closer to where I live. I just feel like it’s bogged down by higher ups I’ve seen around.

My coffee was free this morning so you would think that I would’ve left five stars, but I left one because the service was so horrible that the barista forgot to ask for payment just like she never greeted me. I felt rushed when I placed my order and rush through the transaction. I waited to ask for a receipt and realized she never asked for payment. I left with my coffee. I will not return to this location. Sucks because this is the most convenient location for me.

Went through the drive thru and the latte was so good I had to go back the next day! The murals are so cute and the baristas are nice. I love the plant-based sausage breakfast sandwich, it’s very similar to the Starbs one if you want to switch to a local place! :)

We stayed at the motel here and we had to try the coffee shop I’m not a huge coffee person so I tried the frozen hot chocolate and I LOVED it! We also got a free complimentary breakfast that was so good and before heading back home I had to have another frozen hot chocolate! Everyone was so nice there too!
