Mr Smalls Café
400 Lincoln Ave, Millvale, PA
Crema's Take
“Mr Smalls Café is a wonderfully quirky community hub in Millvale that doubles as a concert venue, making it the perfect spot to catch live music while sipping excellent coffee. The atmosphere is genuinely cozy and welcoming—think poetry rather than prose—with a loyal crowd that gathers for everything from Greggi-oke nights to Sunday Funday open mics, plus the kind of killer breakfast burritos that'll ruin you for anywhere else. They're open late on show nights, so whether you're fueling up before a performance or winding down after, you'll find good coffee, good people, and that rare feeling of stumbling into a place that actually belongs to its neighborhood.”

Whether it is pre-show, Greggi-oke, the Basement Dwellers Shanty sing or coffee with Krampus, this is a great hang-out!!
On a scale of documentaries to romance novels, Mr Smalls Cafe is a book of poetry. My partner and I attended an evening concert at Mr Smalls, and we became overstimulated by the music and crowd. We saw signs directing to the cafe so we went down to the basement and discovered a quiet oasis where we could enjoy drinks, conversation, and a recharge. While we could still hear the music from above, it was very muted. The vibe of Mr Smalls Cafe put me in mind of a bar but make it coffee (and alcohol). It's definitely worth an extra visit if you're in Millvale.
Good place, good coffee, good people, great place to see concerts
Hella cozy and full of friendly people. The breakfast burrito is probably the best one I've had ever, so A++++. The Sunday Funday open mic is super chill. It was really relaxing to hang out with yummy food and a good beer (I had coffee first, of course, and it was life).
Amazing coffee! Some great options for drinks and food too! This place is open during shows which is great because I work nights and need to wake up during shows. They have shows down there some days of the week too. The baristas are great people. The menu is not that big but the food is great an inventive. So next time you are Mr Smalls check out the cafe in the basement
