Crema's Take

Wild Leaven Bakery is a sun-soaked Santa Fe gem where the real star is the bread—think sesame sourdough, quinoa and sunflower loaves, and chile cheese croissants that'll have you coming back within hours. The peaceful patio seating and unhurried vibe make it the perfect spot to linger with excellent coffee and inventive soups (Ethiopian lentil, anyone?), whether you're working on your laptop or stealing an afternoon with friends. This is the kind of place where you accidentally stumble in for a snack and suddenly realize two hours have passed, and you're completely okay with it.

SOOO GOOD!! Go to this place NOW!! This bakery is awesome!!! 🤘 We went here by accident and purchased a Chile cheese croissant for a snack. Then 2 hours later came back for their sandwiches. The bread was half sourdough and wheat, amazing , we got a sausage, manchego cheese small melted sandwich! This sandwich was SOOOO GOOD. I cook from scratch most days at home and I love this place. Simply delicious! I talked to the owner about this sandwich and he’s was super cool and everything is fresh! When the bread is fresh made from great ingredients it’s hard to beat! I wish you all the best of luck with your bakery!

It's a peaceful and sunny spot to have some coffee and treats. I wanted nice bread to go with this fancy butter & honey I bought, so I picked up a loaf and decided to stick around and enjoy an almond croissant and some coffee. The coffee's alright, but that croissant was TASTY. I really liked the filling and the bread went very well with that fancy butter. There's a nice little bar area with a good amount of outlets too.

So glad we decided to stop here for a quick lunch. Our soups (Ethiopian lentil and purple potato and poblano) and breads (original sourdough and quinoa and sunflower sourdough) were absolutely delicious!

Located just outside of town in a quiet area. There was no wait time on a Saturday morning, cute little bakery with limited seating. What I ordered: • gila cliff dweller squash with chicos + chantarelle with cream, paired with slices of sourdough loaf • pain au chocolate The sourdough was soft and fluffy with the perfect crust. Pain au chocolate, basic and delicious flaky pastry, but I did find it just a little small for the price. The star for me was the soup, went perfectly with the bread, full of flavours and tasted so fresh, i was in love. Will definitely return to try other items!

Lovely little bakery and coffee shop. We thoroughly enjoyed our pizza slice and croissant on the patio out front. Also love the sesame sourdough bread we had sliced to bring home. We will certainly return.
