Crema's Take

Fresh Flours is your move if you want genuinely flaky pastries that don't apologize for their butter content, paired with solid espresso drinks that don't overshadow the food. The blackberry danish and bacon quiche are the real draws here, though service can be inconsistent—some visits feel genuinely welcoming while others feel rushed. The outdoor seating and dog-friendly patio make it an easy spot to linger with a friend on a Beacon Hill morning, assuming the staff is having a good day.

What to expect

Great blackberry danish, flaky and not too sweet. Latte was great as well.

Been here twice now and the coffee and pastries are great. The staff however aren’t very welcoming. The first time I went, the lady couldn’t even look me in the eye for some reason. The second time, the staff member was chatting away with her coworker as I was trying to order.

Nice outdoor seating. Good service. Great variety of freshly baked pastries. The Bacon Quiche is delicious! They offer Stumptown coffee. The croissants are very soft and semi-flaky. Must try the peach danish, perfectly balanced and not too sweet.
