Milk Crate Coffee
1278 49th St, Brooklyn, NY
Crema's Take
“Tucked in Brooklyn's vibrant Boro Park neighborhood, this spot masterfully balances serious espresso craftsmanship with an unexpectedly welcoming, hip atmosphere that feels equally at home hosting a casual coffee run or a leisurely brunch gathering. Beyond their espresso foundation, they've carved out a distinctive identity with creative signature drinks like their raspberry lavender lemonade and an impressive lineup of fresh pastries and paninis that keeps regulars coming back for more than just coffee. Fair warning: quality can be inconsistent, but when they nail it, the combination of thoughtful drinks, genuine hospitality, and locally-beloved food makes it worth the trip.”

Didn’t like the quality of the coffee can’t really recommend. Paid almost $8.00 for a flat white that didn’t even had foam or taste.
Amazing service great breakfast place 10/10
Ended up in the area by accident and desperately needed coffee. A short search turned up Milk Crate. I purchased the Lavender Lemonade and added raspberry because the gentleman said it'd be even better. They also ask for your desired sweetness level, which was nice. I really walked over for coffee, so I got the Cinnamon Toast Latte hot. It was not overtly sweet, and the cinnamon complemented instead of overpowered. Wish I had more time to eat because it smelled delicious in there! I'd say it's worth a trip if you're in the area.
Went out here on chanukah for a small brunch and wow was I in for a treat! Being in the midst of boro park I had assumed it would be a very heimish experience, I was pleasantly surprised that as soon as I entered I felt like I was transformed to a place miles away from 13th Avenue, the vibe was hip and subtle and I though I was in parks slope! Beautiful decor adorns the store and hip millennial artwork painted on the walls contribute to this feeling. The actual food is incredible as well, we tried the breakfast for days as well as their grilled cheese. The Breakfast for days was amazing and the fresh toasted sourdough combined with sweet butter was out of this world, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the salad was fresh, fragrant and had a deliciously astringent dressing to wrap it up. My wife had the grilled cheese and she was absolutely floored by how good it was, the luscious so fresh sourdough combined with high quality cheeses and melted to perfection absolutely delivered! From there we go into the drinks and with both of us getting hot lattes I can say the coffee was excellent, it was fresh, smooth and had a very fragrant rich flavor while not being over powering. Overall this is a incredible place to get breakfast that transforms you to a hip coffee shop with delicious food from the second you enter. Would highly recommend!
Very cool and hip! Coffee is great! Fork and bowl salads yum! Grilled paninis delicious! Cinamon danish for dessert, totally heaven!
