Crema's Take

This Provo coffee bar nails that rare sweet spot where serious espresso craftsmanship meets genuine hang-out energy, complete with a lounge vibe, pool table, and live music on select nights. The owner-run team—Claire, Skylar, and Ennis—are genuinely engaged regulars who clearly care about both their beans and their community, and their light roast espresso is bold enough to convert skeptics. Whether you're after their standout cold brew or a creative signature drink, you'll find yourself lingering longer than planned in a thoughtfully decorated space that feels as much like a local gathering spot as it does a specialty coffee destination.

Cool vibe gives off a lounge type atmosphere in a coffee bar. Engaging barista, great coffee. Unfortunately while we were coming in there was a couple homeless folks blocking the sidewalk (one came in and left quickly it appeared he had urinated himself). They were gone when we left.

Rugged Grounds has friendly, knowledgeable baristas and very good coffee. The owners, Claire, Skylar and Ennis are often around and engage with their customers. Everyone is wonderful. I visit often and enjoy the vibe and the decor. A great deal of effort was involved to get Rugged Grounds up to speed and it shows. It is my favorite coffee shop!

What a pleasant surprise to find the best coffee we've tried outside of the bay (in the US)! GET THEIR ESPRESSO. They do a light roast espresso which may be blasphemy to some but man is it good. We had a peaberry that really shined when not overwhelmed by a dark roast. Even the drip was pretty good. Think it was a Columbian. Good acid and fruit if you're into it. Vibes were chill. Outlets plentiful for those who want to work. Pool table is nostalgic for me. And of course the service was great. The woman who helped us has been there since they opened this new location (prior by the train station) and was honest about the pastries being store bought. Also check out John stamos at the POS terminal

Loved that there was a lot of different types of seating, it was decorated very well. There is a pool table and live music on certain days/times. There was also a mini thrift section that was pay as much as you think it’s worth. Baristas were friendly and chai and matcha were good. Definitely would recommend this coffee shop if you’re visiting the area

Having been to dozens and dozens of coffee shops, this is one of the best cold brews I’ve ever had. Simply fantastic, and slightly on the stronger side. Bean quality seems to be outstanding. Only had the top of the line cold brew and a double shot of espresso which was also very good. Great vibes here too, very rustic & relaxing to just chill, have convo, or work. 10/10 would recommend, and is a strong contender for my personal best coffee shop of 2024.
