Crema's Take

Thorough Bread & Pastry feels like a secret garden tucked into the neighborhood, complete with a lush patio anchored by a sprawling tree that regulars can't stop raving about. Their croissants and pastries are the real draw—locals praise the almond croissant especially—and the whole experience strikes that perfect balance between grabbing a quick coffee or settling in for a longer sit with affordably priced sandwiches and salads. It's the kind of place that rewards early mornings and parking luck, where the vibe is genuinely casual and welcoming rather than fussy.

I really loved the patio space here — the large tree and lush greenery make it feel like such a hidden gem. I tried both the plain croissant and the almond croissant. The plain croissant wasn’t as savory as I expected, but I really enjoyed the almond croissant — it had just the right amount of sweetness. The staff were friendly, and the portions are generous for the price. I’ll definitely be back!

We tried a lot of items. Very sweet spot- casual hidden gem. The pastries are good. Nothing WOW! However if you are in the neighborhood, stop by for a cup and pastries. We had the chocolate/banana/almond croissant, apple tart, kale/cheese quiche, ham/cheese potato quiche, ham&cheese croissant, corn cheddar scone, brown sugar chocolate chip cookie, flat white w/ soy, cappuccino. (Yes, we took some home...)

Affordable and decently tasty! We had the Chicken Melt and Veggie sandwiches. Good healthy food for a decent price! Excited to try their bread when I can be early enough to find some 🥲

We visited on a Saturday around 8 am. The bakery wasn't busy and we happened to find street parking right in front of the bakery. We got an almond croissant and apple almond streusel croissant. The croissants were warm and DIVINE. They were very affordable too - $4.85 and $5. The bakery has indoor seating and a back patio too. Definitely enjoyed the two croissants we had.

One of the best if not the best spots in this area. Delicious croissants, pastries, coffee, salad and sandwiches.
