Crema's Take

Tucked in Miami's airport, illy Caffè serves up Italian espresso excellence with passionate baristas like Arianna and Mirdelys who genuinely care about getting your drink just right—expect thoughtful lattes and detailed coffee education alongside the typical airport rush. While premium illy pricing runs higher than competitors and service can be inconsistent during peak travel times, the warm hospitality and quality specialty drinks make it worth seeking out if you've got time before your flight.

Arianna was a great barista, explaining the taste and strength of Illy coffee, and making my latte just right. Thanks!!

Prices are at least double of nearby similar options and the service is the worst I've experienced in my entire life. I didn't understand what the order taker was saying to me, so she abruptly walked away and another person tried to take my order. I asked for a coffee and he said, "Americano?". No, a coffee. Then he said they had no non fat milk for the latte I wanted. That's when I understood what the rude woman was trying to tell me. I told her I was sorry I couldn't understand her and then she was rude to me again! After I apologized for not understanding her bad English! I walked away after that. Unbelievable! Please do not give this place your money.

Rude I can handle. Especially at an airport during the holidays, it must be a nightmare. But this was just illogical careless badness. I ordered just a coffee. I went over to the creamer station and they were out of creamer. I said hey do you have any creamer? The “barista” said oh yes we’re out of creamer. I said could I possibly have some milk then for my black coffee? (Let me remind you that this IS a coffee establishment) he said well okay but you have to pay for it. I said okay, that’s fine. I will pay for it. He then charged me $5.50. I said I’m sorry? Lemme get this straight, You guys ran out of creamer. You won’t provide milk for people’s coffee for free and it’s over five bucks for a splash of milk? But there was No budging. No eye contact. I wouldn’t wanna give me eye contact either as my eyes were shooting daggers. This is an embarrassing company. Miami airport needs better coffee options!

My son asked for a turkey sandwich and I for a muffin. When I came back to the barista because I saw another sandwich and not my muffin in the bag she said my kid order 2 sandwich and he made a mistake. She said repeatedly and pointed my son he was the one who order 2 sandwichs.I asked her for the receipt and in the receipt did not say 2 sandwichs, so she said the sandwich my son was already eaten was a mistake and she wanted back. The sandwich was bitten and she did not care, we had to give the sandwich we paid for back to her, and the other sandwich that she put in our bag for mistake I gave it to her in exchange for my muffin. She did not apologize for the mistake or for false accusing my son of ordering 2 sandwichs, she only wanted the sandwich my son was eating back. Service awful, I didn't taste the food for the poor service we decide go somewhere else to eat even after paying for the food over there. The barista ended up with the sandwich we paid for and my son was eating, the extra egg sandwich she bagged for mistake, and the muffin I did not want it after all this. Coffe was very disappointing as well.
