Crema's Take

Stubby's is a beloved year-round Nantucket institution that feels like the island's 24-hour heartbeat, staying open until 2 AM and serving everything from loaded breakfast plates to late-night cheeseburgers and surprisingly excellent Jamaican specialties. What really sets it apart is the staff's genuine warmth—locals and visitors alike rave about their willingness to go above and beyond, fixing mistakes without hesitation and treating every order with care. Whether you're grabbing a quick coffee and bagel before exploring the island or settling in for a full meal with family, this is the kind of place where the vibe is as satisfying as the food.

I’ve never had a bad experience there. They’re friendly to helpful and even when they make a mistake, they fix it immediately with no questions asked just apologetic and they go above and beyond to make it right. This is a great place with great people.

This place is a local special, great fried foods as well as burgers and sandwiches. Some really good Jamaican special items. Open late and all year round.

Order a bagel with cream cheese. Was given a bagel with the essence of cream cheese. Can’t say I’ve ever had to complain about not enough cream cheese before. Didn’t feel satisfied and was severely disappointed. A disgrace to the bagel community. As a bagel enthusiast I don’t know how I’ll recover. As one of very few bagel sellers on island step it up.

It was our first time in Nantucket. This place was on the list to try and it did not disappoint. The food was good and they're open until 2AM. We got two cheeseburgers the first day. The next morning we came back and got the egg, sausage and cheese sandwich. Then later that night at 1230am we got more cheeseburgers. Obviously we liked this place.

Extremely busy sandwich shop hot and cold Subs they offer in addition chips and soda. Waited about 25 minutes for food then I went up to the counter and they have the food waiting all the time time that I got it it was cold and not very tasty. The gentleman that I spoke to that is the cashier very friendly very knowledgeable of the food. Probably would not return easy accessible right from the roadside.
