Crema's Take

Java II is a reliable study spot near campus with friendly staff and a permissive attitude toward lingering, but a 3.8 rating reflects real operational problems: multiple reviewers report billing errors and difficulty getting refunds, while others complain the coffee tastes stale and the menu is limited compared to nearby alternatives. It works in a pinch if you need wifi and a bagel sandwich, but the combination of inconsistent pricing practices and mediocre coffee quality makes it worth trying competitors first.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu. Wifi.

Management needs to quick cutting labor and schedule a few more baristas to help these poor people out.

Be careful, and always ask for a check. They overcharge you, and make the process of refund extremely difficult. Some of the workers at the check out are extremely nice, but you occasionally stumble into rude students, who hate to be there

My favorite place on campus to get coffee and they have wonderful bagel sandwiches! I highly recommend to anyone on campus.

This is my go-to spot to study. The service is great and you're welcome to stay for hours and work on classes. It's great to have coffee so close by for when studying is putting me to sleep, and I never find the cafe background noise too loud.

It's in a convenient location, and the service is fast. However, the options are limited compared to other on campus coffee shops, and the coffee always tastes a little old. I would prefer going to some of the other shops on campus more than this one, just to have more options.…
