Local Honey Coffee
250 Riverplace, Greenville, SC
Crema's Take
“Local Honey Coffee is a standout destination in Greenville that elevates the everyday coffee shop experience with thoughtful details—their signature nectar cortado is bright and memorable, matcha drinks are the best in town, and dine-in service arrives on charming trays adorned with flowers and water. The espresso-focused menu balances traditional classics with creative specialty drinks, while their pastries and light food are thoughtfully made, all set in an ambiance that feels polished enough for a major city yet genuinely welcoming for a long sit with friends. At 4.8 stars across 230 reviews, it's consistently praised as one of Greenville's best, though worth noting it transforms into a beer bar later in the evening.”

This is a 3-of-3 spot. The presentation and ambiance is lovely. The coffee is Devine. The food is delicious. I really enjoyed the nectar cortado; it was bright and different. Also really enjoyed that they bring the pourer of flash brew pour over to you. The croissant with almond butter, bruleed banana, etc was my favorite of the week by far. The Fig Pig was really eell balanced for lunch. The classic hot cake was also good for being as basic.
Today was our first time at Local Honey Coffee and we absolutely loved it! All of our coffees were delicious, the food was unique/tasty, and the service was fantastic.
Great service, delicious coffee and croissants! Definitely one of the better coffee shops we've been to in the Greenville area! Be aware, it changes BUSINESSES around 3 or 4 to a beer place run by different people. We went back at 4 for a coffee and were surprised that they didn't serve coffee.
This place is the best! I’ve tried their matcha iced and hot and it’s the best in Greenville. If you dine in, they serve drinks on a cute tray with water and flowers. It’s a great location as well, right alongside the river with beautiful green space making it very peaceful. They also play great music!
I’m honestly blown away by this place. The Local Honey Company completely exceeded my expectations. I thought Greenville was just a small town, but this café could easily be in any big city, it’s that beautiful. The space itself is stunning. Every corner feels intentional, cozy, and bright. The music is at the perfect level, the vibe is calm but lively, and everything from the tables to the bathrooms is spotless. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay for hours, whether you’re working, studying, or just enjoying a slow morning. I ordered the Lychee Butterfly Matcha and the Strawberry Matcha, and both were absolutely incredible. The sweetness was perfectly balanced, the matcha-to-milk ratio was spot on, and they offer different milk options so you can customize it how you like. I went with oat milk, and it was honestly amazing. They also have pastries, breakfast options, and coffee that looks straight out of a magazine. The staff was so kind and welcoming, genuinely making you feel at home. You can tell they care about what they do, and that energy fills the space. Located right in Falls Park on the Reedy in downtown Greenville, this café is a total gem. The area around it is just as beautiful, filled with high-end restaurants, great spots to eat, walk around, have fun, and enjoy the day. It’s the perfect place to spend time, whether you’re exploring or just relaxing. I would come back a thousand times over. Truly one of the best spots I’ve discovered. If you haven’t been yet, go. You’ll fall in love just like I did. 10 out of 10
