Café Milano

Crema's Take
“Café Milano is a beloved neighborhood spot in Sparks where exceptional service and genuine warmth from staff like Azita create the kind of atmosphere that keeps people coming back for full breakfasts and leisurely meals. Chef Pablo runs a kitchen that ranges from traditional café fare to impressive dinner entrées, with portions generous enough to share and a consistency that earns devoted fans despite the occasional miss on plating. It's the rare place where families linger comfortably over coffee, pastries, and conversation, beloved enough by regulars that it punches well above typical casino café expectations.”

Hidden gem. We had food 3 times and loved it each time! All the wait staff were awesome, full of positive energy. Great attitude. Azita is amazin. Knowledge, professional and just amazing. I highly recommend this place. Open 24 hrs too!!!
I was really disappointed with the presentation of this dish, especially considering it costs $46. For that price, I expected a much higher level of presentation and attention to detail. The steak itself was okay, but the overall plate looked very basic and unrefined. The rice was served in a large plain portion, the vegetables looked like simple steamed sides, and the onion rings on top of the steak felt random rather than thoughtfully plated. Everything looked more like a casual diner plate than a premium restaurant dish. Presentation matters, especially when customers are paying a higher price. A better plating, cleaner arrangement, and more balance on the plate would greatly improve the experience. I hope this feedback helps the restaurant improve, because with better presentation, this dish could better reflect its price.
Oh sooo tasty, great service. All meals are huuuge. Definitely shareable, all cuisines are so tasty!
Ordered their Asian Chicken Salad to go, purely for the amount of veggies in it. When I got the salad, it was just regular salad mix with chicken and bell peppers. There was no bok choy, no cabbage, no onions, and no snow peas as advertised. Also, the “sweet garlic-chili vinaigrette” was just straight sweet garlic chili sauce, which while delicious, is not a salad dressing by itself, especially when one is expecting a vinaigrette. None of this salad was as advertised, other than the chicken, bell peppers, and noodles. If I hadn’t already been home when I noticed, I would have returned this salad immediately. Quite disappointed that such an expensive salad was missing so much of what was supposed to be in it. (Edited to add that all of my friends who got fries were exceptionally disappointed. They were damp, hard, and unseasoned.)
This is one of the best casino cafes in Reno. They have exceptional food. Ranging from breakfast to prime rib dinners. The head chef Pablo is really good and runs his kitchen cleanly, quickly and deliciously. One of their best waiters is Mark, but you won't be unhappy with any of them. As you check out you might have the pleasure of being helped by Johnathan and his fantastic attitude. They also have an incredible little Chinese food bar located within the cafe itself. (Get the pork lo mein).
