Crema's Take
“Nestled in Asheville's arts district within The Foundry, Summit Coffee is an espresso-focused spot with an industrial-boho vibe that's just as suited for serious coffee talk as it is for solo work sessions. Their single-origin, light-roasted beans shine in thoughtfully-crafted espresso drinks, and their rotating seasonal cold brews give regulars a reason to keep coming back. The calm, relaxed atmosphere and convenient parking make this a neighborhood gem worth seeking out whether you're stopping by after yoga or need a productive afternoon away from home.”

An absolutely beautiful coffee shop that greets you at the entrence to The Foundy! I stopped here after yoga (which is in the same building) and tried one of their seasonal flavors in their cold brew nitro. It had real maple syrup and tasted incredible. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the courtyard had tons of seating for a lovely morning drink! Highly recommended 🤩
We stopped here randomly, as we were in the arts district. It was just okay. The coffee was okay, the service was kind of sub par. They didn't seem super interested in serving us. There was also a lot of construction or something happening. It was noisy and not comfortable. The staff seemed to be very preoccupied with that, which I understand. I just think that when there are strange circumstances at work, you cannot act chaotic. You kind of have to roll with it. It's not like it sucked, but I would not go out of my way to go back just for the coffee (which is not likely anyway, since I don't live in Asheville). If I happen to be there again during coffee hour one day, then maybe.
Such a cute spot! Sadly, they were completely sold out of their pastries today. But I was able to try some of their coffee and it was not disappointing!! I’m glad they do not charge for milk substitutes like many other coffee shops do. Even though there was a line, our order came out fairly quick. I’m sure the employees were feeling overwhelmed with the crowed because I could see it on their faces and one employee had a poor attitude. Understandably, we all have bad days so I’m sure today was just one of those days.
Trendy coffee shop with an industrial-boho esthetic ~ great for knocking out work on your laptop, meeting a friend, or treating yourself on a self-date. Things you should know: I. PARKING There's a free private lot in front of the entryway. This location is my favorite because it's in the colorful River Arts District, so you can aimlessly wander the galleries once you've gotten stir-crazy from sitting. II. SERVICE Timely and kind ~ no complaints. You place your dirty dishes in the plastic bin they provide when you're done with them. You'll see it when you go to order. III. QUALITY You can't go wrong with their coffee, but their pastries are also delish. We got the chocolate chip scone, and although it looks dry it was moist in the middle. IV. CAPACITY We came on a late Monday morning and this place was so packed we were worried we wouldn't be able to find a seat.
Good coffee - single origin light roasted beans. One single origin espresso that was well made into a flat white with almost no bitterness- best I’ve had in Asheville so far. Atmosphere - calm, relaxing, open spaces with comfortable decor and lots of seating. I love the loft space and the mountain mural on the outside of the building. Staff - made a good coffee, able to describe different pour over options.
