Crema's Take

T Bagel Cafe is a beloved downtown Stockton spot where the real stars are their impeccably crafted bagels and generous cream cheese ratios, paired with surprisingly excellent Thai tea that keeps both office workers and jury duty escapees coming back. Their breakfast sandwiches—loaded with fluffy eggs, bacon, and cheese—hit that nostalgic comfort note while maintaining quality that earns consistent praise, and the California Club is worth the lunch crowd that regularly forms around noon. It's the kind of neighborhood gem where quick service meets genuine care in every order, making it feel less like a bagel shop and more like someone's dependable favorite.

I have only ever had their sandwiches and Thai tea but both have been GREAT every time! When you go, especially around noon, you will be waiting because people flock there and it's for a reason. The food, at least what I've had, is really good. Sandwiches are made fresh. Fresh ingredients. Cashier has a sense of humor. They have a nice array of items to choose from and the space is kind of small but they make it work. This shop is in a little center type place with an arcade little indy shops. It's really cute actually. My coworkers and I go continuously.

I work downtown and T Bagel Cafe is my lunch go-to place!!! The California Club is AMAZING and the bagels are wonderful! I love the blueberry bagel with Strawberry Cream cheese. The service is always great, but most important the service, food and menu is CONSISTANT. I love knowing that they will have my fav item(s) and Sugar Free Red Bull!!! Prices are more than reasonable and the variety is perfect! I would have taken a photo of my sammie...but I devoured it already! :)

Looked for a place to stop by for lunch while on jury duty since I’ve never really eaten downtown before. This neat little place was only like a 3 minute walk from the courthouse. Vietnamese Sandwich (Banh Mi): Definitely worth a try if you’ve never had banh mi. The bread was nice and crunchy on the outside but still super soft and fluffy on the inside and easy to chew. I had the chicken and pork chop to try both. Pork chop was pretty good, tender, a bit chewy, decent vietnamese marinaded pork flavor. There was no daikon which is disappointing for me. I also did not like the thickness of the cucumber, a bit overpowering. The mayo they used tastes like regular hellman’s or something. Otherwise decent quality and fresh tasting for about $7 each plus tax. I did not really care for the chicken because it didn’t have a lot of flavor. The amount of meat ratio and quality for the price for both is so-so, especially compared to bigger names like Huong Lan but I know this isn’t their focus. I would come again though because it’s so convenient at the courthouse. Even at these prices a banh mi is so worth it and filling for a lunch. Thai Iced Tea: CRAZY sweet. Probably the sweetest I’ve ever tasted. I would ask for half sugar, if possible, for a normal sane person. Other than that, crazy good value at $3.50. Everything Bagel: This was really lackluster and a bit tough for me, but I’m aware I’m getting a bagel at noon, meaning it may have been sitting there since the early morning. It had a flavor like it absorbed the aromas of the shop from sitting out a while. I also had it plain to taste it for a good grasp of the quality of bagel. $2

A friend brought me here. We got bagel sandwiches with cheese and bacon. The eggs were so fluffy & good. It reminded me of how my grandma used to make them. Thai tea is very good. Better than a lot of tea shops around here. Very kind & welcoming owners that feel like family.
